Awww, I'm glad to hear she's doing well.
I used to do the dentals at the animal hospital where I worked, and it's really not a horrid procedure for them to overcome (even if they have to have extractions). It's just necessary to put them on a light anesthesia so you can get into their little mouths and scale their teeth.
Just a little hint, unless you want to continue to have her teeth scaled at much expense, is get some cat treats that are good for their teeth. I know they sell Feline Greenies nearly all over the world.
If you can be consistent and give them one or two morsels of these in place of the table scraps, your cat's teeth will be healthy, and healthy teeth can add two or three years to the end of their little lives. It's hard to get them to switch, but nearly ALL cats love Feline Greenies. When they beg, make it a ritual, and put a couple of morsels on a plate right where they usually eat. Then switch their diet gradually to dry food and plenty of water, and their teeth will stay healthy.
