This is a lovely thread  ;D I adore my boys more than anything else in the world. Dylan is my big gentle boy who loves everyone he meets and chatters away to me all the time. He is the softest , most laid back cat you could wish for. Hobbes is my baby, my ginger tornado  full of mischief and into everything but so cuddly and loving too. They always come to meet me when I come home from work and there's nothing better than sitting on an evening with the two of them curled up asleep beside me or waking up in the middle of the night to find Dylan draped along my side and Hobbes snuggled into my legs. :Luv:

Also have to mention my two girls sadly no longer with me, Cleo my first cat who was so beautiful and gentle and Sophie my little tortie angel who was brain damaged and half the size she should have been but still managed to boss Dylan around and let me know when she wanted to be up on a windowsill as she couldn't jump up herself. I still miss you both very much and am proud to have been owned by you.

I thought of this thread when I came home today and was greeted by my purry furry and fur fluffs  :Luv: :Luv:  They are always there waiting for me.  Jaffa is usually the first to reach me with tail held high and he starts to purr as soon as he sees me.  He wanders around rubbing his head against everything and purring louder and louder.  When I bend over to kiss him, he tilts his head towards me so that I can kiss the top of his head  :Luv:  Mosi is more still and lies down so that I can give him a good stroke from top to toe  :Luv:  For once, he is calm and gentle while he thoroughly enjoys having a cuddle.

Susanne, you've hit the nail onthe head there girl - we truly do all have our very own winners in our own homes.

Smudge was my life and when I lost him I thought I would die too.... but along came Bonnie and she saved my life.  They are totally different and I love them both for their own special ways.  :Luv2: :Luv2:

Adore every one of mine too. Belle's so naughty and full of character, into absolutely everything. We call Meeko our hungry hippo, as long as he gets food and plenty of it he's a happy boy, and Daisy's just a princess, the most affectionate cat I've ever know. She has everyone in the house, including her brothers wrapped right round her tiny paw. We got Tigger when the kittens were about 4 months old and he's such a lil gem. Took to the house and the kittens brilliantly and is such a big snugglepuss. I was never a huge cat person either, always liked them but wasn't crazy about them like I am now  :Luv:

I absolutely love all of mine to bits as well including the members of Team Svartalfheim's that now live with their new families as they will always be part of my cat family and therefore will be mentioned in this post.

Bilbo is just a cuddlebear! He no longer goes to shows but when he did he used to have his pen door open when I was with him and he'd lie with his head out of the pen watching the world go by and trying to get people to talk to him as he loves people, cuddles and attention. If we have visitors round he's the one that goes and introduces himself to them.  He will love you just as much if he's known you 3 minutes as he would if he'd known you 3 years.  He adores it when Dave rubs him really roughly like you do with a dog and he loves his profile being rubbed as well.

Boopy is just my dream cat. I always knew I wanted my first queen to be solid black and I waited many years for her but she was well worth the wait. I was so worried that she wouldn't bond with me as she was nearly 11 months old when she left her family in France to move to the UK with me but I need not have worried! There really aren't words to describe how I feel about Boopy. Quite simply she's my feline soulmate, I have never ever had an understanding with a cat quite like the one I have with Boopy  :Luv:

Pinball is a whingebucket but he's my little whingebucket. He's really nervy of other people as he wasn't socialised very well before I got him but he's a real Mummy's baby boy with me and acts like he's just turned 9 weeks rather than 9 months  :evillaugh: He just wants to be mothered all the time. Like Boopy he's very vocal and likes to tell you his opinion on everything. You really can have a conversation with him as anything you say he's got an answer to, it's so funny to hear. He adores the other cats and if he looks round and can't see them he'll scream until one of them comes back to him  Dave nicknamed him Ewok due to the noises he makes and the fact if he gets a teeny bit worried he puts his ears at the side of his head  :evillaugh:

Star is so laid back he's usually on his back with all his legs in the air and he adores attention. At his first show he escaped through the roof of his pen and wandered along the top of the pens to find someone to cuddle him. He lives with an almost 2 year old toddler and they are the best of friends and wherever one is so is the other which I think is really lovely.

Minxy has the biggest heart of gold in the world. No matter what sort of a day you've had Minxy will always make you feel like the most loved person on the planet when she kisses your face, chews your hair and pokes her tongue in your ear.

Tahni was the quietest kitten in the litter but has always been a sweetheart. She's a haughty little madam like her Mumy Boopy though but when it comes to bedtime she snuggles up with her Siberian Husky as simply noone else will do, soooooo cute!  :Luv2:

Like everyone else I come home from cat shows and I'm glad that I come home to the cats I come home to. I do show my cats from time to time but I'd love them just as much if they always came last in their class as if they won everything and were Best In Show. At the end of the day they are my very much beloved babies and members of the family and if everyone was neutered tomorrow and were never shown again it wouldn't change how much I love them one single bit.

Cant believe I didnt see this thread sooner

Anyhow I love my three to pieces, they are all so different but I love them all the same.

Ging is a complete cuddle bum and loves being picked up for snuggles and will always grab an opportunity to sleep on your lap/pillow,he just wants to be close to us,infact he cant get enough love during the day,he just wants loves and loves which of course we are only too happy to give :Luv:

Grwndi who is the opposite to Ging,he hates being picked up but yet he loves a ear rub and a stroke on the head and body,he will also come close to us but on his terms and usually takes Ging's position if he can inorder just to cause conflict but we try and resolve this without too much fur-flying exercises :shify: :shify:

Rameses is our youngest and he doesnt do humans really,he will give the pouch of food more headbutts than us but when he's lying down he loves a stroke and his purr is definately getting louder.  He loves being outdoors even in all his frost we have been having first thing in the morning he goes out and plays then he comes in hours later for some afternoon food. He also loves the doggies,he sees Cymro as more of his mate than the any of the other two cats, infact he'll try his best to jump on the other two given the opportunity and cause havoc :tired:

They are all so different but I just cannot imagine my life without any of them they are my special purry furries :Luv: :Luv:
Love me,love my animals.

I would officially like to declare my love for Memphis. I've been hauled up in bed for the past few days with flu, not being able to move .. Memphs has spent the whole time with me. The only time he's gotten up was to go to the loo/have something to eat. Other than that he's been curled up on me .. all throughout the day and the entire night. No matter how much I figeted he didn't leave me  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

I think that is the sweetest and nicest thing ever.

lay me down, let me go, feeling heavy the ground is cold,
lay me down take it slow I'm ready to stumble, sing & then swing low

Yep Susanne - I've been known to well up (not after alcohol, completely sober!) when I look at one of my cats relaxing and enjoying their home. All of them are truly special and unique, and I wouldn't be without any of them. (Or missed out on the time I had with the ones that aren't here in body any more.)  :Luv:

What a lovely thread.

I love my boys too and I am reminded constantly that 2 years ago I hated cats  :shify: and now I adore my boys more than anything in the world.

They are so different in personalities but they keep me amused all the time with their antics and playfulness. I wouldn't be without them now.

Funny how they just come into your life and steal your heart

ah, I mustn't forget my ferals, 3 of us look after them like our own they are fed the same as our cats all have their little personalities and they all forgave us for trapping them almost immediately.  They all look very happy and healthy and let us get very close, they are a joy  :Luv2: and I honestly don't know what I'd do if I moved house.

Have to say on a cold snowy day they are more special as they have been entertaining Sky - our garden is covered in hundreds of pawprints in all sizes!

Sweetie my black Pricess is my soul cat and she who must be obeyed at whatever cost - she is wonderful and will be 18 next year saw me through a bad divorce and a couple of years of being on our own for the most part and then she welcomed her forever Daddy Robin - once I had her approval knew he was a keeper!

I love the whople lot of ours for their endearing ways, the ferals who suddenly decide they love you after years of trying, young Raven has decided that Whiskas cat milk and Mummy are a great mix and I now get kisses of this little poppet and can stroke her n the kitchen table but any time she is on the ground runs away so still work in progress but her kisses are coming more often and she is as thin as a whippet with being nervous so the cat milk treat will continue

ferals who will take a worming tablet - oh thats a joy!

I love my boys too! Oscar is amazing.... so strong minded and does things completely when he wants to but he's so affectionate too and the sound of his purr makes my heart melt.  :Luv2: My baby Rufus has the most character I ahev ever know in any species... he has mischief written all over his face, has to be in everything.... climbs you for a cuddle if you don't pick him up immediately and is just so much fun to watch. He is a cuddly boy but not for long as there's always something for him to get distracted by!  :Luv2: And then there's our new boy Jasper who is just the loveliest boy we could have asked for! He is fun, playful, completely bomb proof and oh so cuddly... doesn't matter what you're doing, he will still find a way to sit on your lap (or even your shoulder if your lap is taken!)  :Luv2: It makes me all warm and fuzzy to see them all rough and tumbling... they love each other so much and we love them even more!

Then there's our little princess Layla who's playing at the bridge. So sadly missed but she gave us so much love and happy memories. Simply, the sweetest cat you could ever hope to meet.  :Luv2:

I think ours our the BEST - really affectionate and have us hysterical at times- usually with laughter.  When we got back from church today, they were posing side by side on the top of the cat tree looking the picture of innocence.  How sweet I thought - I should have known better.  Went upstairs to find: one unravelled toilet roll, duvet on floor and one of my good jumpers in the middle of the landing.

Indy is my baby... he is my first ever cat and the only reason we got him was no rescues had room for him and his mum, Mabel. Though I don't count her as ours... she shows up when she wants and doesn't let you anywhere near

before Indy I liked cats well enough, but never actually wanted one... now I could not imagine life without my little squishy-face

Loving this thread! Dave is the most spoiled, big headed little bundle of cuddly, soft, loving naughtiness! He's a huge Mummy's boy and I love him to bits. I love that he sleeps behind the front door waiting for me to come home, I love waking in the night and feeling him snuggled against my back sound asleep, I love that he always peeks out from wherever he is creating mischief when I ask him what he's doing (I'm sure he replies with a guilty "nothing" every time too), I love that he goes on the balcony but comes screaming back in for reassurance at the slightest little strange sound. His inability to keep his food in the dish while eating makes me laugh every time..................I could go on forever.

Then there's the missing Chilli, my first cat I properly took full responsibility for, my graceful, mostly dignified, loving, cuddly mouser. The cat who befriended anyone who left a door open, who converted so many non cat people into her friend, who loves laying in the sunshine and having her chin rubbed.

Until 8 yrs ago i had always been a dog person, then a little black kitten walked into my life and i was smitten and altho i still love dogs (i have 2 again ) i love my furballs in a different way.over the years they have come and gone, luckily only one to rta,but my lot now make me realise how blessed i am, theres Snuggs my baby, mum to Wizzy( sadly missing )     :(  and Scamps, Barney rubble ( all black )Henry (again all black ) cheeky chops , the  :evillaugh: monster Kali (oriental ) and last but no means least George (alias Ginge ), each one has there own little endearing ways and i wouldnt part with any of them, George is now staying with me as at 18 i think it would be unfair to move him again just as hes begining to be part of this mad household so hes here for the rest of his life.and now i have this new computor i hopefully will be able to post some photos of my lot :Luv2:

I was thinking the same today Susanne, even when I was at the Supreme and looking at the other cats I couldn't wait to get home and snuzzle my lot. Doc is being really clingy and loving too today  :Luv: :Luv:

I need to take more photos of my cats, I only thought today I haven't put any on here in ages. Sounds stupid but I always think that many other people don't find black cats as interesting as I do!

A lot of us having been looking at other cats today, at the Supreme.  Now that I'm home, I'm just loving my boys.  They are the best boys in the world, both of them.  :Luv: :Luv: I couldn't give a toss about them winning stuff.  Jaffa is the most special, loving, gorgeous little gingerbread man of all time and Mosi is the daftest, sweetest, gorgeousest little nutcase ever!  :Luv:  Just wanted to say that  ;D   ok, so I've had a couple of glasses of wine.  But I feel the same when I'm sober!!  It doesnt hurt to show our appreciation now and again!  Aren't we all lucky that we have such gorgeous furbabes to share our lives with?  Show titles come and go but, pedigree or moggy, we all have the best in show in our homes  :Luv: :Luv2:  I don't want to be patronising, but I can't help pitying those who don't appreciate animals and dont' share that special bond with a pet.

So here's a thread in which you can share your appreciation for the cats in your life!
