Suzie - I hope you and Jameson are having a blast at the Bridge. I hope you are roaming the fields, fearless and untouchable, and snuggling up tight at night-time. You are sorely missed, just like my Jamie boy but please rest in peace, knowing that your crazy hoomans are about to pick you up. Until then, be wild, be free... x

As I said on the phone Leigh, I'm so glad the rain stopped for a while.  Beautiful rose you managed to get for her.

God bless you Suzie, have fun with all the other cats and say hello to Smudge for me sweetheart.

Frankie and Alfie will look after your dad for you and we'll all keep an eye on him here at Purrs.

We were so lucky today, it rained heavily virtually all afternoon but Suzie sent us a lovely 10 minutes of brilliant sunshine whilst we got my mum out into the garden payed our respects and scatterered Suzie's ashes, her parting present to us both, bless her.  :Luv2:

Dear friends,

Thank you all for your kindness. I am collecting Suzie's ashes from the vet this afternoon and bringing our girl home and Mum and I shall be scattering her ashes tomorrow in the garden of my mum's nursing home. I shall read the poem and mark the spot where we have scattered her ashes with a single red rose and the plaque below containing a verse from the poem which some of you have already seen in my other posting. I intend to take a few pictures so that my mum has them one in her room as she's virtually bed-bound it will be a nice reminder of how near they are to each other, only a heartbeat away.

I miss Suzie every day, there's never a day goes by that I don't think of her. She was a lovely gentle spirit and I remember all those special moments and memories that will forever be with me.

Thank you most sincerely

Leigh, mum and our Suzie

A Poem For Suzie
by Leigh Kemp

A squeaky kitten in a cardboard box,
That is how you came to us,
The passing of years haven't clouded my mind,
I can picture so vividly that precious moment in time.

From the moment, that, you entered our lives,
We were never far from each other's side,
Through seasons past, cold, rain and sun,
From that day forward a magical journey begun.

Alas the years have passed so quickly,
but, unlike us, you never grew old,
You were the rock that our emotions are built on,
The most beautiful of stories waiting to be told.

You changed our lives in the most gracious of ways,
You brought sunshine into our hearts on the darkest of days,
You brought gentleness and loving, kindness and fun,
From the day that magical journey begun.

Sadly time has caught up with us and you're no longer here,
But in our hearts you'll always be near,
Because you've taught us so well, your lessons so clear,
That true love is unconditional and death holds no fear.
