entropion is much more common in dogs than in cats, so your vet will have plenty of practice on dogs. I imagine with cats having a third eyelid that may complicate matters, but not too much. In fact, sewing the third eyelid across temporarily can assist the healing process. Shadow has mild entropion because his eyes are a different shape to their general surrounding soft tissue, so I generally maintain it with regular bathing, and occasional intervention by the vet. But if the actual lashes are rubbing on the eye ball then surgery is very necessary and the sooner the better as it will ulcerate the eye ball and cause scarring that leads to blindness eventually - a nasty problem all round that one.
