It's been a lovely day here so have had the back door open all day, it got so warm at one point that I had to pull the curtain across as it was burning my side. Riley spent most of the day asleep on the top of the scratcher and Lu laying inside about two foot from the open door. I kept telling them to go outside and get some lovely fresh air but they ignored me
Just noticed how dark it had got by which point they're both out there so called them in. Riley came straight in as the lure of Whiskas tempatations is greater than the outside for him. Lu came bounding down the path as far as the back door then slammed the brakes on and refused to come in.
I've played 'chase the cat at dusk' before so this time I tried to get him to step inside for the tempatations, it wasn't working so I put a few down outside which makes Riley dart back out there to get them
Riley is easily brought back in by throwing a few back inside at which point I put some down just by the back door and as Lu swoops in to eat them I grab him backwards and bundle him inside. I now have two cats moaning (not meowing, moaning which is a completely different sound) pitifully by the back door. Why didn't they go out earlier when it was lovely? Cats
