why would somebody who clearly has to ask someone else set up a website answering cat questions?  Am I missing something?

Well Morph seems to have answered the question on the site using Jackspratt's answer verbatim but worded as if it was their own answer. Funny as plagiarism was covered in my induction today.
DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

TBH I find some of these sites quite worrying  - I know it is great to get advice and opinions but with medical issues if someone takes wrong advice wothout consulting a vet it could cause serious problems for both the cat and the owner.

Where are all these questions coming from Morph? If you have to ask here for all your answers why dont the people asking the questions just ask on here in the first place ?

Some of the questions are being answered with info from other sites + a link to them. There are also google ads which I assume pay a commission  :shify:

Fair point, Desley. I am a bit confused as to why people aren't being directed to this site or CC if they have a cat welfare issue.

i am with MArk, and if someone has to ask a question like this to respond to someone, then I would worry about the site, it would be much better to direct people to either here or CC in the first place - esp as then they might see the effects of all the unwanted cats.
Please spay your cat

I think the more sites with accurate information about cat care, the better.

I'm on the fence there - I think there are so many sites out there that people don't know which ones to trust. Six years ago when I was looking for info on soiling, there wasn't much info except Celia Haddon - who actually sent me a personal answer  :)

Even scarier, is people relying on answers they get on Yahoo answers  :scared:

I have to be honest here. I don't understand a site that has been set up to answer questions Cat Issues and when questions are posted, they are posted on here to then put the answers on the other site. Maybe I'm missing something?

There doesn't seem to be a disclaimer stating that answers are opinions only and nothing takes the place of advice from a qualified vet.

With you on this Mark, I am very puzzled!

But accuracy is important. Bengels must be a rare breed that we all don't know about. ;)

Please tell me you are NOT planning on breeding your Bengal if you are not an experienced and registered breeder !!! If you care for her then get her spayed.

If your Bengal female is in season you will definately know - she will be pacing, screaming the place down and probably tring to climb the walls.

Ok, I would imagine Bengal females act much the same as any other female cat when in season. They become vocal and they roll about on the floor a lot, and generally put their bums up in the air at every opportunity!

Having said that, if the reason this cat owner is asking about seasons is because they are considering breeding their cat, it might be wise to point out all the cats (pedigree as well as moggy!) that already need homes.

There are two bengals on the rehoming section as I type.
