The auction is loads of fun Bungly and am sure you will enjoy it

Hannah has told you right about how it all works and I will resize any pics that need help before the auction starts. Its expected to open around the end of Nov or beginning of Dec, depending on the dates for last posts before Christmas, cos we like to have most items sent out by peeps before Christmas and all money in and sent to the rescue.

In November I will post all the instructions but the message is to start saving things to put in the auction and fill your piggys with dosh

I have a couple more items donated for the auction at the weekend

Exciting and expensive time of year coming up - will be wanting a calendar or 2 as well -i have all my 5 persians on it hopefully , so have to buy at least one and maybe another for a gift !
Then theres the auction and whatever else will be happening - good job i dont have many xmas presents to buy !

hold your horses bungly!!!!!!!
they all sound great auction items, but hang on to them for now.
we work it that anyone selling puts a description up, and photos, then people bid, right until the entire auction ends. the winner pays tan (poss including postage) and then you send it from your house to the winner. paying the postage again. so the postage kinda gets twice but its all extra pennies for the cats

I have a few things i can donate from the persians in Lincoln- including a few diamonte iron-on cat designs if anybody thinks they would go okay !?
Could donate a couple of brand new t-shirts with some on -if i knew about sizes - they are fruit of the loom super premium quality- round neck short sleeves in different colours- mainly red, blue, white, black, might be a yellow /turqoise left .
Also a couple of brand new fleecy scarves- will sort out this week and get them sent.

I'm sure that All members of the Clan Cats will now start saving their pocket money so they can have loads of nice things that they don't already have or need but for Brodie, Gem and Beijing and Archie it will be their first Christmas, for Miss Cissy, Smudger and Ragamuffin their first Christmas in a warm safe environment!

Whats first.........oh yes

Tans doing the calendar and will be up for a check soon, maybe next week

We already know where the money is gonna go

and will let you hooligans know when it goes to print.....that sounds about right dont you think Tanni

Second is that Purrs second birthday is in mid November.......where has the time gone.........last year we had a birthday party in the Cats basket and some got drunk on orange juice, others tripped over their kipper ties

So what can we do this year?? Any suggestions post on this thread.....that should keep em clean

.........One thought maybe is that we have a special 2nd Purrs Birthday thread where we post things that come to mind about our first two years. You know like the scramble to get Purrs working in time for the auction, those who have gone to the Bridge, major events in Purrs lfe, That Dawn thread..........you know just memories and funny events and stuff. Thngs we can laugh about and also shed a tear.

Thirdly, now I just mentioned it is the Purrs Annual Auction, and how on earth can we top the magnificent amount raised last year?? I thought we would be lucky to make about £600 last year cos thought we stood no chance raising the wonderful amount of the year before and then , wow you guys were so generous and ........gulping.........£2000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

So this year there is so much to live up to and only you can make the auction a success. So start saving items to be auctioned, cat thingys or not. Must be able to go through the post. Full instructions will be posted up closer to the time on exactly how it works but we really need you to have stuff that can be auctioned, and that can go on gradually through the two weeks allocated.

Yes if last year is anything to go by, the last minute bidding will be crazy, it was so crazy I lost track

Two things can be said about the auction and they are

:

Its great fun

and

It makes a lot of money that goes to help one of our independent rescues.

Yes and we know which one its gonna be and that will be announced before the auction starts. I am sure that you will approve and hope that you will all again spport this once a year madness
