Sorry it has taken ages to reply, for some reason I couldn`t log in!. I have just taken my cat back to the vet today since his diagnosis last week of asthma, he has made a remarkable recovery, which really makes me think it was a reaction to something at the catteries, or maybe it was lung worm which the vet treated him for just in case. He is still having the odd `snotty` sneeze but apart from that he is great! When he was originally diagnosed the vet had taken x-rays of his lungs, one exhaling and one inhaling, these showed lots of trapped air and there was hardly any difference in the two x-rays, which showed how shallow his breathing was, and on listening to his chest there was lots of wheezing and phlegm noises, all these have gone and the vet says he is now breathing normally.
What I didn`t tell the vet is that I have a friend who has studied and practised reiki and other alternative medicine treatments for years and she is now doing body talk sessions, I dont know if anyone is aware or has heard of this, but I emailed her a picture of my cat and she did a `remote` session to help his ailments, and honestly it worked wonders, as soon as she was doing it he relaxed immediatley and afterwards slept so soundly, I swear it was like magic!
Any way for the moment he is well, I will keep an eye on him.
As for the FIV the vet has taken a blood test today and sent it off to Glasgow, so soon I will finally know if he is positive or not.
Sorry for the long post, but my final question is, what is the difference betwenn cat flu and Feline aids or are they both the same?
