my vet in London used to use it, it worked very well I only changed over because one of our current cats cannot tolerate any injections and so if I'm frontlining him I may as well just do all of them

I worked it out to be more expensive, and that was when I was paying full price at the vets for Frontline. It only sterilises fleas once they have bit, so in the beginning you may need to use spot on as well.
Please spay your cat

Yeah the vet said it's a jab once every 6 months. Having done the sums though it will work out slightly more expensive though so I think I shall stick with good old frontline.

How long does it last?  Do you still have to use it monthly?

So really for it to work, would it be best to spray the house, treat with Stonghold or similar then do the program jabs?

I wouldn't mind trying this - although I hate the idea of my babies having unnecessary needles.

All 40 adult cats are on Program injections as its easier for us to control and catch the odd feral although a couple of the nice domestics can be worse - a couple of my handrears Cougar and Puma!

The dogs are also on Program tablets they get one a month

We have not had a flea issue since going on to this about 7 years ago.  baby Beijing has been frontlined much to her horror and Ace, Cissy, Ragamuffin and Smudger have all be Profendered - Ace as we really have issues with him and he is a fighting boy at humans - I know to my cost and the other three have just come inside after 14 years and 8 years of living outside so they are in the humanisation stage but have adapted wonderfully!

Works for us in a multi household and we have no issues or reactions - Cats are aged 17 years young down to 10 months so a broad spectrum and no reaction from our Diabetic boy either

Apparently, it is no good for cats with flea allergies as the fleas have to bite to die. I'm sure someone else can confirm or otherwise.

My vet has recommended them to me today instead of the usual monthly frontline and I just wondered if anyone else uses these and if they have been pleased?
