My bf's mother's cat is obese, has got feline athritus and is about 6 years behind on vacinations and worming!
We have tried telling her that she needs to lose weight (she gets fed roughly 2 huge bowlfuls of biscuits and 1 meat pouch a day) but she won't listen. We took the cat to our vet and she said that Purdie (the cats name) should have at least another 7 years of her life left but the way things are going, the vet is predicting no more than 2 years!
Now she's called us and said that Purdie can no longer jump onto any chair or sofa in the house, and she's got a lump on her back thats appeared quite suddenly. She's taking her to the vets tomorrow morning.
You'd think that was good, but the vets she's taking purdie to is a vet that doesn't know hardly anything about cats, they've admitted that to me. They specialise in cattle and equine. We stopped seeing them over 2 years ago.
I've asked my bf to speak to her and let us take purdie to our vets who are extremely good.
I'm just worried that this lump may be a tumor of some sort
