Max does the staring thing, being all black it can be a bit disconcerting in the dark, just these glowing eyes, takes a second to work out whats going on

Then when he realises I'm awake we have some cuddles and he'll settle down for a bit before going off to play hunt the shoelaces in my wardrobe  :tired:  Every morning  :tired: At about 4am  :shy:

I am saving up for a wardrobe with some doors on  :sneaky:

How about this for madness.  When my hubby is standing at the loo Skye uses the back of his jeans as a scratching post!   :evillaugh:

Whenever I sit on the loo, Jameson will come in after me, jump up on the bath tub and sit and stare at me the WHOLE time. It is quite annoying but I still wont shut him out!   :-[

Riley's doesn't do the staring but he does have a pretty disgusting bedtime habit  It only happens in bed but he has a severe dripping problem, all I have to do is look at him and he'll start purring like a tractor, within a split second a huge bloblet of drool will fall of his face, a split second later it's replaced by another, and another, and another...  In the space of 5 minutes I have bloblets trickling down my arms, soaked sheets and if I try to push him away he'll shake his head spraying every part of me with his drippy drool   It's weird as Lu gets equally frenzied but his nose stays reasonably dry and there's no dripping.

Remind me why I love him?!  :evillaugh:

Skye does that to my hubby when he's lying on the settee!  Certainly wakes him up

they do say the cure for insomnia is to make the animals sleep elsewhere - personally I would rather have bags under my eyes, and holes in my toes and legs and arms where they attack me in the dead of night ...

patch has this habit ever since we got him. he also like to sleep in the bed if me and OH are having a cuddlehe will sit and meow till we let him under the covers inbetween us settles for five minutes then saunter off. he also decides to get in in the middle of the night but you have to lift the covers or he just sits there.

Oh I forgot, every morning, round about 4am, Dave shoves his freshly licked soggy nose in my eyes (while shut), while purring loudly and proceeding to rub his face all over mine. Smooches must be had unless I dump him off the bed about ten times before he takes the hint.

   Skye bites our eyebrows or noses to wake us up.  Turning over does no good at all - she just switches sides.

Yep Zephyr does it to me ... the big mistake I can make is to talk to him though .. then he knows I'm awake and the fun really begins.  If he thinks I'm ignoring him he will paw at my hair (this I can ignore), purr VERY LOUDLY in my ear (again this can be ignored ... just) or the pièce de résistance  is licking my eyelides       this is something you can't ignore and then I have to give him a full on fuss and basically "wake up".

Freaking me out
« Reply #1 on: August 11, 2008, 19:42:56 PM »
So I'm woken up by Chilli moaning about not being allowed at some ungodly hour which in turn wakes up Dave who is asleep on my head. After she decides to shut up and settle back down again Dave sits next to my pillow and just stares at me. For ages. Just staring. Giving him smooches and talking to him made no difference, he stayed glued to the spot. Staring. I had to turn over in the end because he was really freaking me out!

Chilli has also been known to do this and again nothing will move her from her spot while she just sits and stares.

Anybody else's moggies do this? Or am I just lucky  Maybe your cat does something even stranger.
