I think our cats must be reading these posts ... as the very next day I find one of them sitting up on the very highest bit of the cat scratcher/climber!!!  ;D

We (well husband) added a lump of 2x2" wood to the back of the metal frame of it to make it that little bit wider - and the boys are up and down that like no-ones business now!

It's true we had to let them 'learn' how to use it using treats - but they're now going up in it without that so they've learnt very quickly!

Just go to get them to learn how to scratch it - but saying that - they do have other things they can scratch (thankfully not the furniture! )

I imagine the postage maybe quite hefty on that so that may be a good idea although if the money was going to go to a rescue then we have the Swap Shop which benefits Cat 77..............the rescue that Desley help and may have name wrong.

I need to go find the link and will post it seperately.

The other way is for it to fo into the chrissy auction hear but postage is then paid for by the bidder and the giver!  ;D

It's quite possible the rehoming centre will want to keep it as it's nice for the cats to have them in the pens. I bought one 2 years ago and my cats didn't want to know it - I gave it to our branch of CP and it has been in a foster pen since and enjoyed by loads of different cats  :)

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Gil,

That's ok - had a feeling that would be the case as I couldnt recall seeing a buy and sell section.

I've tried selling it at work, but no-ones interested - so think even though it's brand new and we'll be out of pocket, I think we'll probably take it to a charity shop that proceeds go to a cat rehoming centre (where we rehomed our 4th cat from)
