Poor Florin is indeed a very lucky puss, i doubt she would of survived, i think she only weigh just over 2kg... (2 bags of sugar like)).. She will be a long term resident. The other puss Jemina was found under a hedge but she has an infection going on as well and is on tablets, however, her age is against her. If cats get better on the tablets and are fit enough to have the op we go for that as it allows them to be rehomed much easier (no tablets then needed).. having one with this condition in our care is a long term project but two is kind of overloading us..
Sadly today we have had to say we cannot ake anymore cats in and will be diverting them to other branches or CP HQ, as out of 20 cats or so we are only able to rehome 4 or so (plus kittens) due to others having ongoing vet treatment.. We also have loads of fosterers away next month as well and are already bursting so no where to put cats when they go, we just hope we can rehome a few by then..
In the last few months we have had our fair share of poorly cats, having just rehomed Charlie our diabetic puss cat, we now have a few that are cruelty cases and at the moment not up for rehoming..
Floriin and jemina probaly have topped us over the edge of available juggling space and both are now going to need long term care.
