At 9 weeks they are too young to be spraying. Is where they wee'd a very long way from the litter tray? Kittens have only got small bladders and so it could be they needed to go but couldn't quite make it to the litter tray before they had an accident.

Are your 2 litter trays side by side? It could also be that one of the kittens is more dominant and is stopping the other kitten getting into the litter trays. It might be worth placing the litter trays on opposite sides of the kitchen if this is possible in case this is the issue.

I can now fully recommend the Anti Icky Poo as I have tried it on entire cat spray (mmmm delightfully fragrant in this heat) and it got rid of the smell 100%  ;D ;D

i have been keeping my 9 week old kittens (2 boys) only to the kitchen and occas they have the run of the hall stairs and landing but only if i am about. i went in the kitchen yesterday and could smell really strong urine in one area but it was no where near the litter tray??? could they be spraying already? surely not, i can't get them 'done' for months yet!

anyone suggested anything, are they to young to spray, could it be cause they are both boys? territory and all that, they have 2 litter trays cause i knows cats do get territorial about toileting.
Feel the fear and do it anyway!

White vinegar!

Glancing through the thread I see a lot of brand names but has anyone actually tried white vinegar?
What you do is you mix vinegar with water...or just use the vinegar on it's own depending how strong you need it and using a cloth dip into the solution and wipe at the urine. I swear by it. The acid in the vinegar is strong enough to eliminate urine but not strong enough to destroy clothes and carpets and furniture. White vinegar won't leave a stain while normal dark vinegar there's a chance. But normal vinegar has never marked my duvet before.
I am looking to adopt a cat/kitten in Sheffield.

I use UrineOff and find it works really well, even on old urine that had soaked in and other cleaners have missed.

Well i've just ordered the large bottle as this Anti-icky-poo stuff is goooood! The boys are still spraying slightly but they're not automatically returning to the same spot......evidence in my eyes! gallon bottle is pricey at £45 inc. P+P, but in my opinion worth it and boy will it last!
Anything washable goes in the machine with a scoop of vanish oxy action and biological powder....
Smells distinctly of lavender but don't use it an enclosed space without covering your nose+mouth, it's harsh on the lungs

I got some stuff once that is made by Bramton who make Simple Solution. It is called Outright Odour Eliminator. Petplanet used to sell it but it's hard to find now. You add water to it and it works really well. The snag is, you have to use up any made-up solution within 24hrs. In OH's old house, we needed to get it ready to sell and cats had been peeing all over (luckily wood floors) - we made loads up in a bucket and mopped the whole house and it worked really well.

Just seen this one as well http://www.petweeaway.com/default.aspx

Anyone tried UrineOff?

I have Koscha. I think I've mentioned before about Freddie peeing when he first arrived, mainly on wooden floor boards so thankfully didn;t have to try and get the pee out of carpet underlay which I imagine is a real problem. He had only just had his op and boy did the house pong!  He did stop after a few weeks of hell but whether it was the Urine Off or the biological washing powder solution, I couldn't be sure. I remember the Simple Solution did no good.

Ok, i've just ordered the Anti-Icky-Poo, pricey at £23.19 for the small spray bottle with P+P (it'd better make me a cup of tea as well as work at that price  :evillaugh:). I decided to risk it as I looked at reviews on other websites and it got nothing but glowing reviews! If it works i'll splash out for the industrial strength....

I know Wizz recommends it but it's really expensive - £12.99 for 500ml

They should all be the same but maybe some have more enzymes in?

Anyone tried UrineOff? I scubbed all the areas down yesterday with washing up liquid and water then soused the areas with Simple solution and left it to dry, but not expecting it to last that long......

I'm planning on getting some of this to try http://www.crystalclearpet.com/shop/aip/aip_buy.htm The big bottle is industrial strength!! There's a brochure at the bottom of the page that tells you more about it. Hope this helps.

And it smells nice  :)

I am beginning to think Simple solution is too weak. I have a rug that willow kept going back to. After spraying it with simple about 50 times, I eventually soaked the whole area with a whole litre and let it dry outside for 5 days - she has still gone back to it  :tired: - it has to be the smell as I turned the rug around so the "bad" bit was at the other end of the hall but she still found it  :tired:

Ok, my guys are spraying ATM, i'm using the simple solution range but they're returning to the same spot so it's not doing it's job! I really need a odour remover that works!
I've got the feliway plug ins on the go, but it's not making any difference and if I use the spray they seem to be drawn to mark it again straight away  >:(
HELP!
BTW I can't use petplanet as they won't take my card......
