It is not just slugs, any cat/dog that hunts or has a tendency to eat slugs or snails is at risk. Another reason why routing worming is so important.

I can't imagine it could be very nice if a cat or dog ate slugs that had ingested slug pellets either  :(

I just looked and Drontal+, Milbemax and Panacur kill lungworm so regular dosing is important?

On another forum there is a report of a dog who died from lungworms, apparently ingested by eating infested slugs on grass.
