why is protecting the vulnerable so hard here, surely it isn't for them to decide if the penalty was too harsh??????  the trouble is with these things its more often a feather in the cap of the legal team rather than doing the right thing why else would people like the Soham guy have got representation

A Black Country couple who were jailed after admitting throwing a dog from the balcony of a block of flats have been freed on appeal..................
