A wise move  :evillaugh: You won't be disappointed with da bird, that's a guarantee  ;D

I got the kitty treat pocket for Boopy's kittens last year when they were 4-5 weeks old and it was useless as it was too small and I was worried they would swallow it so I definately wouldn't use it with an older kitten or adult cat.

I can confirm the treat pocket is indeed rubbish!  It's so small I really struggled to fit TWO temptations into it, I wouldn't say it's small enough to swallow but it is small enough to be no good for what it was intended for. The holes in the netting are tiny, how the treat is supposed to 'fall through the netting as they chew' I have no idea.  Lukey licked it for a while and tried to chew it but nothing comes out as the holes are so small, I actually felt cruel giving it to him.

Rosie has the calming mat from them (bought from PAH), and I got the dental chews from Zooplus, whcih seem to go down quite well. I saw their kitten wand in a Batleys catalogue on SAt.

The treat pocket could be dodgy, if bits came off they would be food flavoured! If you want a treat toy then best stick to a plastic or rubber ball you can refill.

Kittens love the roundabout toy, zooplus sell them for £3.99 and they also have a great range of cat tree  ;) The bigger the better!!

If your leaving them alone with toys its important to remove any dangly elastic that can wrap round a leg/neck

I introduced Jerry and Gizzy to Da Mouse yesterday , they were hyper for hours after!

Even Beavis likes it , and he is so laid back that most of the time he's horizontal!

I like the look of that treat pocket, the boys would love that!  The toys you linked to are from the US petstages site though, the US seem to have different toys to those available in the UK so I don't think the goldfish bowl is available in the UK, at least I couldn't find a UK seller when I googled it. Have found a UK seller of the treat pocket so will be treating Lucas and Riley to one  ;D

The fish bowl looks OK though if you can find it, I have a similar 'roundabout' toy which they have had since tiny kittens and it's still a popular toy today.  I think the roundabout looks more fun as they can poke their paws in holes at the top and also in the gap at the side to get the ball.  It also has a mouse on elastic stretched accross the middle hole, poor mousey seems to have developed a skin condition and now has no fur left where the boys nibble at him with their teeth  :evillaugh:

For interactive toys you really can't beat 'da bird' and 'da mouse', the only thing I'd say is make sure you hide it between play sessions as they WILL hunt it down!  I have probably spoilt my two and they have virtually every cat toy known to man, I've imported quite a few toys from the US as they look so much more fun than the toys that we can get over here.  Out of all the toys they have ever had 'da bird' and 'da mouse' win paws down as the absolute favourite, they never get bored of playing with it.  It's from the US but is available from the Purrs shop, you need to buy the da bird including the pole and then you can get separate attachments such as da mouse, da furry, da sparkly, da puff or the original da bird feathers for when they are eventually destroyed  :evillaugh:

We haven't got the fantasy fishbowl but we have 2 huge 'roundabout' toys and 2 smaller ones and all my cats love them and kittens really liked them too. Although the first time that Star hit the ball around the roundabout and then freaked when the ball came all the way round and hit his paw was most amusing

I love the Petstages range of toys  :) Some of the cat toys in the range are very tiny though so do keep an eye on the cat/kitten when it is playing with them.

A small independent pet shop is your best hope of finding a wide range of Petstages toys and they'll prob be happy to order in anything you wnat that they don't have in.

Happy shopping!  ;D ;D

I have to hide the one here. Originally it was in a cupboard but Memph figured out how to open the cupboard. Now it's in a drawer, he can't get it but every so often you'll find him just sat there looking at it. Occasionally you'll see him on his back legs trying to open the drawer. If you open the drawer he gets all excited. To say he loves it would be an understatement. Well worth getting  :wow:

lay me down take it slow I'm ready to stumble, sing & then swing low

I remember my aunties cats having a really good wand toy that I think was called a kitten wand. It was made by petstages I think and it was really a great toy!! I'm looking at getting the fantasy fish bowl http://www.petstages.com/cats/playing/fantasy-fishbowl.html and the kitty treat pocket http://www.petstages.com/cats/soothing/kitty-treat-pocket.html has anyone tried these and if so are they any good?
