i can strongly recommend it - its lessening my home sickness, is lovely as youre going to sleep and is very good when you have a headache i've found

Awww, I want Jamesons purrs recorded too! Then I can take it when I go away and use it as my meditation tape!

Seriously though, purring is magical.. relaxing and cosy!

although i quite often end up with a paw on my forehead.... but still, he has very magical purrs

I fully agree hearing those purrrs is one of the most soothing therapies around... I hope you can hear it live with your head pressed against Jasper's tummy very soon Hannah    Nothing can beat that

i think it was just done on a phone....  yep, think that was it, phone recording.  i had to edit it a bit though - he got a bit over excited in one bit and did super purrs - deafening!!!   

darn - was trying to put it on here but its the wrong format.  beyond me me thinks!!

How did you manage to tape it properly? I've had several failed attempts to get my Swamp's lovely dark brown purr on to tape.  It's the best sound in the world.

You are right - it is the most relaxing sound.  I love to settle down with Sophie purring away by me.  I also love heer little "hello" chirrup when we come in.

I'm very very jealous.  Jake does not normally purr and when he does its more a vibration in his chest than actual noise.  My previous cats all purred, Jade had a purr like a tractor loud and beautiful.

Oh yes, the sound of purring is such a lovely sound, I love it when Maxy curls up next to me in bed and purrs, its so relaxing.

i'm sure its probably kinda strange, but i have a recording of him purring and am totally addicted to listening to it on loop as i fall asleep.  or just when i need calming down.

i swear nothing is so relaxing as giving him a big hug, smelling his fur and hearing him purr    cant wait to bury my face in his tummy soon (ish)

his meow on the other hand... well that just make me    its soooooooooooooooooo girly!!!!!
