I live in Blackpool-near the Pleasure Beach.  Hopefully I will find he does live near by. If not I'll have to take it from there. it's just that he does seem starved every time I see him and he is pretty small.  He doesn't seem to mind being handled so that may mean he has a home.  :)

I had a cat in my garden a few months ago and to cut a long story short I put a paper collar on it. A few hours later the owners phoned up. I still think there are some issues but at least it has a base. At least you will know one way or another

Asking around and leaflets are all very good ideas

I found out Den lives down the road from me so its worth asking if anyone on here lives nearby ;D

Best of luck

As MM says ask around.  What area are you in?  there may be someone on Purrs who may know someone in your area that may be able to help or offer further advice if or when needed?

Another good idea...I'll try and ring my vets and see if they will do it.  i may have to gain his confidence a bit more.( the cats, not the Vets  )..i'll see how the leafleting goes over the weekend.

You could also pop him to the vets for scanning, as he could be chipped. A VN could check him over at the same time  :evillaugh:

Thanks for the advice Milly's Mum. I'll try the collar idea as he doesn't seem to mind me picking him up. I'll also leaflet the local area to see if anyone is missing him. It's throwing it down at the moment and he seems to have disappeared! But at least he's had two good pouches of food so he won't be hungry for a while!  ;)

First off, keep feeding him  ;D
Ask around your neighbours and you could put a paper collar on him with a note requesting any owner to contact you.

If you decide to ask a rescue for help check their policies first, not every RSPCA/CP pts postive cats. They can also check their lost & found records to see if theres any matches

:luck:

Small Cat...seems abandoned.

Hi Guys,

Recently I've been visited by a small black and white male cat. He comes every day or so and  I've fed him (usually the stuff my cats have gone off!). He seems halfed starved and usually wolfs it down.  He is always trying to get into the house (poor Thing!), However my cats aren't happy about this. They haven't attacked him as yet. i also think he may be deaf as he doesn't respond to any sounds. The question is..How best do I deal with this.  I'd like to take him, but my finances are taken up at the moment with the credit crunch.  Should I seek advice from the local rescues. There's the RSPCA, Furry Tales and Cat Protection.  he might be FIV+ and reading recently, i wouldn't want to hand him over and have him put to sleep when he seems happy and healthy enough! I don't know if he's even been abandoned. Any advice?

Thanks
