I cannot deny that a cat lover and his cat have a master/slave relationship. The cat is the master.

Well done you, all the people that must have noticed the little one and ignored her plight. I am such a fan of micro-chipping and have known of so many cats that have been reunited with their owners after being lost only a very short time.

Awww what a lovely lovely story! It is even more special because the little kitties owners obviously care for the cat a great deal, especially to come round and thankyou like that. Simply heartwarming   :Luv:

Ahhh I have just had a knock on the door and Lucy's daddy was stood there with a box of healthyfood and a thank you card from Lucy for rescuing her.

I had mentioned to them which street I lived on but never told them the number but the fact that I drive a bright yellow MR2 made me easy to find!   He said he only had to ask 1 person and they pointed him towards my house

Apparently Lucy hasn't stopped purring since she got home and won't leave her mummy's side  :Luv2: :Luv2:

My fear was that she would venture out when it was quite and end up on the main road ... I didn't realise at that point she had already managed to cross the road once.

Yay that's great news!  Well done you for picking her up and getting her scanned, and it's so nice to know that she was missed and not abandoned.        Who knows where she might have ended up or been taken to if you hadn't seen her!

I have just been to Morrisons which is about 5 min drive from my house and the other side of a very busy main road into Nottingham.  Anyway, as I got to the revolving door of the store I spotted a gorgeous little tabby girl sitting by the trolleys and miaowing at everyone who was walking by.  I went into the store and bought a bottle of wine and asked at the customer service desk if anyone knew who's the cat was.  The lady on the service desk said "Oh is she still there ... she was there when I arrived at 10:00 this morning" ... it was now 15:45.

As soon as I heard this I knew that even if she had followed someone to the shop they wouldn't still be in the store and the poor little thing was obviously lost.  Shot back to the Deli counter and bought a slice of roast turkey as bait!

Went out and  crouched down and bless her she came running straight over to me ... a real little fuss pot.  I gave her a bit of turkey which went down very well.  She was a tiny little thing only about a year old in my opinion.

Anyway I picked her up and carried her back to the car ... no struggling, no claws, no trouble at all.  Called my local vets and thankfully they were open.  Drove round with little one sat on my lap purring away like a tractor.

Got to the vets and they scanned for a chip .... Woo Hoo she had one!  Turns out she went missing last night and her mummy and daddy have been out all day looking for her.  She lives about 3 streets away from me.  Her Daddy was in the process of printing off a stack of posters.

Her parents were absolutely over the moon to get her back and couldn't believe she had managed to cross the main A612 without getting injured.  Her name is Lucy and as I suspected she is 15 months old .... this was only her second trip outdoors ... needless to say she is now confined to barracks :)
