This is one of Shrimps Kittens (called Ziggy)! . At the moment he and his bruv are looking for a nice new home. I have a few contacts via Purrs people so fingers crossed! The rest go next week after mum is spayed on Friday.

I get very confused on the other gingers.. But i think this is Drake as well. But it may be Ginger Snaps!!

Shrimp and her kittens!
I have better but the people that bid for naming them, i have send a colour photograph of their choosen kitten in the post to you.. So want to make sure they get it before i post other photos.... All are doing well... although still abit small...We havnt worked out what ones are to go in pairs yet.. We would like mum to go with a kitten.. but tell the truth i dont think she is too bothered... I havnt seen one that is particular a mummies boy yet and the Rosina the tortie seems to be very independant.

All kittens are now with me as we have a much bigger pen.. There are 5 in total... Four males i think and one female.. There is some gossip that mum "may" be pregnant again.. No one knows for sure... so i may have to take them all down the vets this week for a check up... and mum...All are eating solids and mum wants to be out and about, a real Paris Hilton that one... !

Anyone on Purrs who bid on ebay can you let Pinkbear know names pls and then i will set about doing a naming certificate for you all...

Thanks people.... i look forward to christining them...

Ruth, thank you so much for your kind payment. Another £10  :wow: :Luv2: So, Ruth, what shall this little darlin' be called, then?  :naughty:

I will respond to everyone who bought a kitten name via the official Ebay thing later tonight. But just want to say I'm stunned here as Sharon's idea of doing this has netted nearly £44.00 towards getting these angels vac'd. You are all absolute stars!!  :blow kiss: :cuddle:

Ok me confused. Just got a notification from ebay saying I'd won the kitten naming bid.    :scared:  But Yvonne has already won it right as she used Buy It Now?

I gather no more kittens to name?

The Ebay idea seems to be going really well! Three of the kittens have 'bids' on them and quite a battle going on to name the tiny whiter one.  :Luv:

The good news is that a couple have now started to eat from the bowl, and one of the gingers even shoved his mum out of the way and pinched her food.  :evillaugh:

Now, now, children!  :evillaugh:

Mark, I'm delivering mum and kits to Sharon on Sunday. Mum is not best pleased being shut in my bathroom, so it's been decided she'll be happier over there as there's much more room. I don't expect for a minute that Sharon would object to an upclose inspection.  :sneaky:

Since you've stated it in the description, if the person who wins names the kitten with an offensive or inappropriate name you can cancel the bid. Something tells me it won't happen (I have a great name picked out already so have to win!!!)

:sneaky: so whoever wins gets to name the kitten AND you have to accept it...  :innocent:

That's the plan. We do ask for sensible names only. We can't use names that are offensive, for example... but I am dreading some of the names we could be lumbered with.

We're running an Ebay auction to name these little monkeys.  ;) It was Sharon's idea as money is always tight in these parts. For details, see the link under my posts. Here's one of the pics that were using. The winning bidder will get a certificate that Sharon is designing plus a little update on their progress in a couple of weeks.  :wow:

Aw, they're gorgeous, and poor mom, she has that long-suffering look on her face! Good luck getting them to eat, our little Sam goes at it, just little meals (and lots of them) so far, but he's bigger then these guys. I do mix in warm water with his food to make certain he's staying hydrated.

I thought I would try my luck just before bedtime and offer the kittens some mush on my fingers. Two started licking straight off and another one went for it BIG time and nearly had the tip on my finger off.  Then I led him to the bowl and his little snout was in there like a flash, he polished off all that then went for his mum's dinner.   :briggin:

I guess I know why 2 of them are so much smaller than the others - these are the ones that wouldn't touch the mush. Anyway, we've established what the challenge is.  :sneaky: ;)

The poor little Tortie always seems to be at the bottom of the pile. She's much smaller than her brothers.  :(  :Luv:

They've had a bottle between them so far, which will help a tad, but it's a struggle trying to get them to understand what it's for. We're having another go shortly.  :naughty:

awww  they are just adorable PB...  good luck with them while you have them.   If mum still has milk and they are still suckling then you're looking to top them up.

Nothing to add... Lesley has offered up exactly what I would've said already.  Keep a good supply of towels ready for drying them off after swimming in their dinner.  I have 3 4 week olds here at the moment who are all white and blacks... although after having just had their tea they are a nice shade of orange and white!  lol

they are just sooo scrummy at that age though aren't they?    love mum too... what an adorable tortie...  poor thing though having to go through all this when she is just a baby herself!

Well, I am now armed and ready! Donna the nurse vet has given me some Royal Canin Recovery food, which she says is good for mum as well as the weaning. She recommends mixing it with water to make it really thin and offering that in a bottle.

She also says, like you Lesley, that they tend to try the breast stroke in it before they try eating it.
