We were doing a fundraiser on Saturday and unfortunately as our Welfare Officer and one of our fosterers were driving to the venue they came across a poor little kitten lying at the side of the road. He was a beautiful tabby and white young boy of around 5 months old and had obviously been hit by a car the day before, there wasn't a mark on him but sadly he had passed away, he just looked like he was asleep. Because of the area they found him we know he would be a young feral, there are no houses there. Unfortunately there is a smallholiding in that area and despite our many visits to trap and neuter and visits from the RSPCA the man there just lets the cats increase in number and breed so little ones like this don't stand much of a chance.
Anyway they picked up this little one and he was buried later on Saturday in our fosterer's garden. I just wanted to acknowledge this poor little chap and wish him a safe journey to Rainbow Bridge. RIP little one, play hard at the Bridge, you are safe from harm now.
