I'm glad Cosmo came back home for dinner - this lovely weather must be such a treat for our kitties, just for them to lounge around outside, like the creatures of leisure that they are!

Jameson loves the nice weather and will stay out as long as possible - and will sulk and cause drama if we put him indoors. Yesterday he skipped off to the front of the house to look at something across the road... it was another cat, that I'm sure is his friend cos he charged after him and I literally had to run after him and call him back so he wouldn't cross the road.
Today I saw 2 gorgeous little fox cubs in the shrublands behind our garden and I believe Jameson is keeping his distance.. which is a shame cos I rather want him there than loitering around near the road.

Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

well, last night Cosmo slept like a log (no 5a.m. alarm call!) and looks like he slept for much of today too.

because it was sooo nice this evening, we let them out for just over an hour and then closed the door when Cosmo came back in - but he's been very sleepy and rather quiet all evening - hope he gets his bounce back soon  :( deffo think he was spooked by something last night - possibly another cat or even a fox  :scared:

ps - don't worry Gill, OH was just cross 'cos he thought Cosmo was being naughty - the kitty equivalent of being grounded  :evillaugh: - I made sure he got a late pouch all to himself and didn't have to share with greedy Jessie!

I think he did get frightened and was too scared to come back.

I dont know what you do tomorrow though, sorry.

Definately you dont punish him and you give him his dinner , hope your OH was not serious.

Pleased he is home safe and sounds like he is too.

phew - he's back in now and chowing down on some grub - his sister Jessie had been v opportunistic and eaten both lots of food whilst he was missing  :evillaugh: OH said we shouldn't give him any more to teach him a lesson but I didn't think that was fair!

The little toe-rag has discovered the front garden - he gets out by going under next door's buzzer entry side gate (her front door's round the back of the house).  Anyhow's, I said I would go and sit outside to see if I could find him when OH had already been out the front and swore blind he wasn't there.  However, when I went out, next door's security light was on and Cosmo was just sitting there, squeezed between the hedge and the gate.  He didn't look v happy and only came up to me when I called his name v slowly and I then grabbed him when he got close.  (Yes, there were a couple of pathetic meows but not too much struggling, which goes to show he was quite subdued - not his usual self at all - and he's now all over me)

So, am wondering whether something spooked him and he got confused/frightened about coming back  :scared:?  Question is - what do we do tomorrow/next time the weather's nice enough for him to go out...

 >:( the rules are if the weather's nice he gets to go out for a couple of hours when we get in from work.  He's just sitting outside taking the  :censored: ignoring treats being rattled and calling his name - and he hasn't had his tea!

This is NOT funny  >:( >:( >:( grrr - and Jessie's upset  :(
