Haven't seen her tonight - heard some footsteps on the roof but it turned out to be my neighbour's cat Freddie.  Maybe puss found her way home?   ;D The sloping roofs and Velux windows in these houses are a source of constant fascination to cats.  When I first moved in, there was a gorgeous ginger cat called Spike next door, who was the biggest, grumpiest boy you've ever seen  :Luv:  I remember leaving the blind open one night and waking with a start to see Spike's big face staring down at me through the roof window - with a facial expression that just said "what are you doing in there?"

Ahhh poor little soul .... at least she is friendly so when she comes round again I have no doubt you will be able to catch her and check her tag ... if no info on the tag she may be chipped.

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

I've just got home from work and bumped into one of my neighbours, who asked if she could have a word about Minnie - and then said I really ought to let Minnie sleep indoors at night.  I was really confused as Minnie does sleep indoors at night - I would never let her out after dark   The neighbour then said that a black and white cat was keeping the neighbourhood awake crying at my front door for half the night - it wasn't Minnie so it must have been our little visitor again!!!    I think she wants to move in  :scared:  I'm a bit worried that she might be lost, as I've never seen her around before and she's fully grown, plus no one new has moved in nearby.  I might see if I can look at her collar if she comes back later ... there was definitely a tag  :scared:

Was just upstairs putting some washing away, with my back to my half-open Velux window, chatting away to Bertie, as I do  :-[  Suddenly, Bertie's expression changed to one of horror and confusion, so I turned to follow his gaze - just in time to see a strange little black and white cat, with its front legs and head already through the window, trying to squeeze its way inside    Even when Bert started hissing, it still tried to get inside  :evillaugh:  I gently shooed it away and after rolling around on the roof for a tickle, off she went - I thought she'd got the message.  Five minutes later, Bella started hissing at the back door - and lo and behold, there's our little cat burglar trying to reach up to the door handle  :evillaugh:

I think she's gone now.  Clearly word that I'm a soft touch has got out in the local cat community   Still, she had a collar and tag and looked well-fed, so I don't think she needs a new home!  I wonder what her owners would think about her trying to break into other people's houses!

Minnie is now asleep under the Velux with one eye open  :shify:
