My boys love applaws.  I still have cans that I bought at the Supreme last year though  ;D  Almo Nature do a lot more flavours and is pretty much the same.  It has a fairly low phosphorus level iirc, but important to remember it's a complementary food not a complete food - so not for regular feedng.

It's quite chunky swampmaxmum but VERY tasty so I'd be surprised if your boys didn't wolf it down rather than lick it!  Tiggy used to love it, Riley and Lu are deprived and haven't tried it yet but now it's available from PAH that will soon change  :wow:

Hi, they have a decent website which has pdf attachments with the nutritional breakdown. http://www.applaws.co.uk/applaws_cat_product_information.asp?in_section=applaws
Not as good as renal food but if it's a question of eating or not eating, guess you can add binders (as long as they are tolerated). The food looks very chewy, with quite big bits of meat - how soft is it? I have 2 food lickers here  :innocent:

Welcome everyone.

It certainly goes down a treat here - he loves all the Fishy ones, last night he had the Chicken and Cheese and it was all gone by this morning. With Feline Frayre there is always a bit left in the morning and even with Felix he leaves a few chunks of meat.

Clare - what is the protein like on the chicken and cheese?

I can't honestly remember Desley, but I do recall when I first posted about Max and his kidneys, Applaws was one of the better makes of food in terms of levels.

He only has it very occasionally now having discovered the tuna flavour RC pouches which are an absolute godsend  :)

Oops, I noticed this when I went a couple of weeks ago, and thought it was something they had done for ages (its months since I last went), so didn't post. Mine does individual tins of chicken and tuna/prawn, plus the mixed box. Molly wasn't keen on the chicken though, but she did like the tuna, so maybe I should get a mixed box.

Wooooooooooo.

Went to PAH today, was looking around and I noticed our one has started selling Applaws - they do the boxes of 12 for the chiken/fish flavours, £6.99 and they do individual tins of chicken and tuna - 56p.

I was so pleased  :Luv: So bought the chicken flavours!
