for future reference there is a pedigree rescue list on cat chat - just in case they end up with others, I've reported bengals to bengal rescue before

Thanks Sabrina,

That does make me feel better to be honest as I know that he may be adopted by someone who really knows what they're doing, I guess that I just don't really agree with how they run things over there! Fingers crossed i'll hear something, but if not then just sending out good pedigree vibes out!

That's my problem, I wouldn't be able to get there till the weekend!

Only cause I work 9-5.

It's only right down the road from me as well, which makes it very hard.

They didn't give us any information on Smoke, we did get a vacs card and all which we updated with our vet who basically said they don't give out info (if it makes you feel any better the vets did say they have a lot of people who adopted from there come to them for shots/neutering etc).

Hope this little one gets rescued by the right folks either way.

Just spoke to someone who is going to contact them and see if he's still there. She has a volunteer who lives in Castleford and could go and get him, but it might be a week or so. She was soooo lovely and was obviously concerned as well, so I just said that if she keeps me in the loop then i'll know.

If he's gone, then he's gone, but at least I tried! To be honest I worry about all of the cats and dogs at that rescue, but I can't really do anything about all of them  :tired:

Thanks for the numbers btw - I wouldn't have known where to look!

I'll give them a ring, but I don't really know what they can do.

I just know that they don't home check or anything (fortunately Sabrina is ace and so Smokey landed on his feet!), but he could end up anywhere and if he's well cared for then that's great, but if someone doesn't realise what they're taking on, he may end up being dumped again.

That's the rescue we got our Smoke from (we didn't know anything about the rescue at the time).

I tend to check their site every week but that's the first time I've seen a purebreed on there or anything close.

I think most pedigree associations have a welfare section, I'll be one minute and check

Who are they? Sorry, I don't often deal with pedigrees and have no idea about this kind of situation...

This gorgous Siamese (?) is in one of the most awful "rescues" in our area where they don't vet check, neuter, de-flea or anything, but just hadn them out to who ever somes first. They'll be charging a fortune for him and I just feel so sad that he's found his way to that hellhole and not to a good rescue who will find someone who knows how to care for this breed properly. Someone will pick him because of what he looks like with no idea how demanding and special they are.

I guess for legal reasons i'm not allowed to name the rescue, but if anyone wants details then I can PM them...
