Tyro will be off to his new home on Friday. He has turned into a lovely, cheeky chin rubbing handsome puss and i wish him a long life of TLC

Well today we managed to pick him up without a struggle and even give me a brush.. Certaintly by the time he goes back for 2nd vac he will be rehomeable..

He has such fab yellow eyes they are bewitching!

Christine Blip i would love to get a photo of him for the calendar but i seem to get dark shots of him.. I will try and send something and perhaps you can do some touch up in software to brighten the image!

Isnt it funny how blue cats tend to come up brownish in many photos.......well except Wittys!..........and Kocka used to come up a slightly darker colour than Tyro

Not really an evil cat at all just one that needed some compassion!

He's gorgeous - probably not a true Russian Blue though, as they have green eyes, not yellow.

Tyro what a change in a one week? REHOMED!
« Reply #1 on: April 14, 2008, 14:02:27 PM »
I just though i would post this.. We have had a lovely young boy in our care he is unusually a Russian blue grey around 2yrs old.. He came into our care as he had been a stray for at least 6months and was doing a good job of being the local bully. He was wondering around a area that was right on a main road. I took teh call about Tyro to start with and the lady on the cat called him a "evil little thing".. It only took a few days to trap him as he was unhandable.. Tyro visited the vets for bloods (all fine) was neutered, vac and chipped. His coat is all rough and dusty and had a few ticks but weight was good.  He came into our pen and hid for 3 days.. only eating at night and spiitting and hissing at you.. But over the weekend a breakthrough this puss now headbutts you and adores having his chin rubbed.. He doesnt know me that well and i have just come back from seeing him and beside giving me a hiss to start with he was soon headbutting you, I can even give him biscuits by hand.. He doesnt mind being stroked and although i didnt pick him up other people have..

His coat is still in a poor way and he needs to go back for 2nd vac in two weeks, but by then i think he would be okay to be rehomed.

He has fabulous yellow eyes and although not a big cat has Russian blue colouring there is no speck of white on him.

He has huge potential and i am glad that we managed to get him in before he succumbed to the road.. Not really an evil cat at all just one that needed some compassion!
Photos to follow.. but he was even good at giving me good poses here.
