I've had Minnie for almost a year now and have been really pleased with her transformation from scrawny, flea-ridden semi-feral outdoor cat to fluffy lap cat who prefers indoors to outdoors. The only thing that was less than ideal was that she'd never been litter trained so because I don't have a cat flap (Bert and Bella are indoor cats), I've had to make sure someone can let her out for a wee if I'm not around. I've thought about litter training her but wasn't sure how much success I'd have, with her being 8 years old and stubborn.
Was just sitting in the lounge with OH listening to the sound of a cat digging in the litter tray when I suddenly realised that Bertie and Bella were both in the same room as me - and a sneaky peek into the kitchen revealed Minnie having a wee on the tray!
I'm now wondering if she's been doing this for a while and whether the reason why the litter doesn't seem to be lasting as long is now revealed!
Can't quite believe she's happily using the same tray as the other two, and they don't seem to mind either! (We do have two other trays but they never get used
)
So pleased as at least now I don't need to worry about Minnie being stuck indoors if I work late
