Cheers i'll try the catmate....i dont think snooch is particularly hungry at that time in the morning, like your ickle 1 Ruth i think its purely for attention, she had enough sleep so she thinks i have 2... I am going away over night next month though & my friend cant come round to feed her in the morning so a catmate will be ideal for then.... again..as usual the purr people have come 2 my rescue

Catmate is good. I have yet to use mine for the early mornings as I don't get woken for food... just because I am there and clearly someone is bored and needs attention.

I have some catmate double feeders for when I go away over night.

I think cat mate are good but you need look around for prices, compare ebay to other sites etc cos prices vary so much.

Sorry, I've got no meaningful advice I'm afraid.  My boy Max wakes me up about 4.30 every morning too, just for attention, not food or anything. 

and I wonder why I'm always tired

I dont mind the early wake up call, its him in doors that i have the main problem with...hes sooo grumpy & arsey when she wakes him up....mmmm maybe is the OH i need to sort out rather than Snooch... 

 

You could consider investing in a time-lock cat food bowl that will release some food for her at say, 4 am, and maybe she will go back to sleep?

I have been thinking of getting 1 of these...any tips on which is the best 1

no you just have to get used to being woken up.   It's what cats do.

Hey guys, i am after opinions on what to do about Snooch's early morning rampage...

Snooch has started waking up around 4:30 am & after shes roamed around the flat for awhile, she gets bored then starts to chew her carboard box...again gets bored after awhile & then starts banging her cat flap until i get up & open it for her .....i'm after opinions on what to do...i dont like keeping the cat flap open all night, i try & tire her out & keep her awake until i go to bed...she has loads of toys but doesn't really like to play on her own...is there anything else that i can do or do i really need to keep the cat flap open....
