Sorry,
the box is in my daughters bedroom and she keeps knocking the camera off its perch and its too hard for her the reach out to pick it up and put it back in place as that would involve sitting up or maybe even standing up god forbid.

Its back up in place and I can say I have put up some instructions on the site should anyone else want to do one and I have also added a link button to the main site on my news page, and I  had over 50,000 hits on that one page alone yesterday.

If anyone else wants to do one for say piece of mind when at work or whatever drop me a line and I will be more than happy to help.

Should I start to regret posting 'kitten cam' ? :scared:

No I hgpe not. Its just that so many of us on here are involved in rescue and see what a problem the 'one litter' brigrade cause, therefore we jump at any opportunity to lecture :-[

It becomes second nature after a while. And its very sad when you have kittens born in rescue that cannot get homed and then get overlooked the following year when people want to adopt the new kittens.

You might think we are a mad house, but a lot of us volunteer for rescues, and see first hand the effects of people allowing their cats to have just one litter (our first mum and kittens of the year have a very sad story), and also have to try and find homes for all the unwanted cats (I have 4 over the age of 8 here looking for homes, they were all wanted pets at one point), so can't always be pleased by letting cats have just one litter as there are lots of reasons against it.
Please spay your cat

No we put a lot of thought into the kitten thing, they all have good homes to go to,and it was'nt done just on a whim.We have always had cats, and they have always come from farms or are strays that have come to us.The girls love Georgina and the kittens have been a  good lesson in all things to do with cat control and the problems with strays and of course the birds and the bees.It will be a shame to see them go but two cats is enough for any house - we are keeping one - plus the fact I only like the pet rabbit Flopsie as he and I are are out numberd by girls!!!
So rest assured we arnt just spitting kittens out for fun.

Welcome to purrs. I've just been thinking of kitcams on another thread - what a co-incidence.

From a rescue point of view, I am sorry that you decided to let your cat have kittens as there are so many to find homes for - especially the black and white ones.
Having said that I hope they all thrive and you find good homes for them.

Hello,
I am not normaly found on feline websites, but I was trying to get a webcam sorted out for fo my lorry and decided to test it on our cat Georgina. As she has just had kittens I was able to position the web cam above her box.The results are fantastic and I will delay my own 'cab cam' in favour of 'kitty cam' for the time being.
You can see what she is up to here -  http://www.jonester.co.uk/kitty.html
