Like I Said, he is male, you do have to make allowances for him!! It doesn't help that we dont know his history, unlike Gypsy.

will sort some pics out this weekend been so busy lately the months have flown by!!

He will get supervised outings in summer for the time being he's an indoor cat. Gypsy is a good girl she comes running over to us if shes out and comes in when called, Garfy needs more training in those areas.

If I were you I would only take him out when I can stay with him and supervise him, especially if he is not so overly keen on going out.  In any case you are right for the time being at least that he stays inside for a while, and make sure he is content and happy.  Good luck!!  (Oh any recent pics of the fab G&G? ;) ;) ;) )

Yes Desley, he will most definatly be staying in for some time. I hadn't even intended to let him out i was going out to the garage and realised i'd picked up the wrong keys so went back in the house and left the door open whilst i got the right keys by the time i'd turned round he'd bolted.

He doesn't normally show interest in going outdoors, especially as it's so windy where i live which makes it hard to keep windows open as they blow shut. plus as the windows are considered to be fire escape routes so open very wide, if i turned round and a robber came in my insurance would be invalid.

:welcome:  home Garfy      :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

so pleased to hear that he has come home.

Is it possible to leave a kitchen window or some other window open for him to come and go?

Aww, I bet you are so relieved he came back home. I can't understand it, unless it is cos of the lighter evenings - maybe there is somethign interesting he has found in a certain place? You do sometimes get strays who have no issues in staying out cos they are used to it, but I honestly didn't think he had been stray long enough. Maybe keep him in for a few weeks again?

he is, We even found both cats on the bed with us this morning

I was just working up to the fact i might have to start putting up posters, when i saw him running towards the house, I'm just glad he's home.

Gypsy i think missed the company more than anything. I was strange to see them both on the bed this morning though, first time it's ever happened.

At least it's all ended well

The tinker commonly known as Garfield decided to make an appearance at 11.15 pm.
walking from the far end of the cul-de-sac where i've been calling to him all evening.

anyway it took about 5 mins for him to decide it was home when i opened the door and has now feasted on his supper.

Gypsy willingly welcomed him into the house, which is a better reception than a grumble.

All is now well

No I don't have a catflap - nor is there any possibility of being able to fit one. My Front door is steel panelled and rear door is double glazed french doors.

I am worried sick - it fustrates me that he will approach me sniff me then run off!

We haven't hurt him but he is really fraidy when he's outdoors - well if he doesn't come in tomorrow i have a four day weekend to concentrate on getting him back inside

After Gypsy's Rescue last time Garfy did a disappearing act. This time I spent 4 hours (7pm-11pm) trying to coax him to come to me on Monday night without success even Gypsy couldn't convince him to come in!!
I know pretty much exactly where he is but he won't have it!

He keeps scooting off in to the darkness!

What have I done wrong? am I a bad meowmy?

Garfy please come back inside where it's warm! Tonight is his third night in the elements
