It's so funny how much they vary with volume.    Mum and daughter (Gizmo and Bubbles) purr a lot but you have to be listening right near (or touching) to hear them but our three kittens just sound like motor cars as soon as you enter the room !   Like many other things (inlcuding what they like to eat) it seems to vary so much between families.
Unconditional love is hard to find unless you have a cat
