It says you have to leave them a "reasonable" food allowance. It says that if they bring a partner (with your permission) you don't have to feed the partner

in their dreams!!! I used to feed my favourite sitters as I was doing a cooking course at the time and often had large meals left over from the lessons, but otherwise they had to feed themselves - what cheek!

If you are live-in you also get accommodation, heat and power etc for free - so that is also part of your pay. I knew one sitter in ChCH who found it particularly useful in the leadup to her exams as she had the run of my office and computer for revision etc, and my internet access. It depends on your personal circumstances if you find it useful - I would have been more than happy to get a job doing that when I first got here for free accommodation, but there were no openings ...

Yes but it says the pay works out on average 1.75 hours a day at minimum wage  :evillaugh: ( I suppose they only get a few bookings a year)
It is meant for people that want something to do or look after animals if they can't have them for any reason.

You have to be ther 24/7 so I would need a cat sitter if I got an assignment  :evillaugh:

I use K9 Nanny who are actually based in Swale but their local dog-walker is a gem. She has fed mine when I am away and had Shadow (the dog) over at hers for the duration so I knew he was not stealing the cat food. Came home to happy cats, clean bowls and a tidy house. Can not recommend too highly  ;D

The best bet is to ask your local vet as they usually have numbers. Blackcat lives in Chatham so maybe she will have some ideas - she is usually on around 6.30 I think.

Dont know if anyone can help but thought I'd give it a whirl (esp as lots of you SE people are meeting up).  I'm going away in June and am trying to find someone/company who can come in and feed my girls for me in the morning (my sister can do the evening shift).  I've tried looking on google etc and have drawn a blank.............anyone have any recomendations -  :thanks:
