Packaged like an M&S meal for one: There's already something like this on the market (Olli single serve) but only in a multipack. However, if I could get something like this available singly, in a small portion and in a white disposeable dish it would interest me as it'd be perfect to take to shows for my cat. At shows I'm always disposing the bulk of a standard pouch at the end of the day as show halls are invariably really warm and stuffy and wet food goes off really quickly. And of course, my girl insists on wet food at shows. If in the right packaging to satisfy GCCF rules on white pen furnishings, this could be a big hit with the cat fancy.
Recipies by Jamie Oliver: Unless this was veterinary formulated, I don't think I'd find this of interest. I'm not sure a celebrity chef could understand that what my cats needs are and IMHO it'd just be a promotional gimmick.
Organic Ingredients: possibly, but only as an occasional treat and only if the ingredients balance was right. On the other hand, there's no guarantee that my cats would actuall eat it...
Low in fat with extra Vitamins and minerals: Potentially as I do have one slightly portly puss, but especially with dry food, most manufacturers tend to do a "maintenance" version e.g. Royal Canin, Nutro Choice etc.
A fresh and chilled meal: I honestly don't think this would work. Cats prefer their food at room temperature for the most part and I tend to factor in my two when I do a meat shop anyway. Mine are suckers for fresh meat and they do need to see whether what I've bought is suitable for consumption.
Buying an extra dollop of mince or an extra sausage is probably a cheaper option and I'd know my two would eat it.
I think the bottom line when it comes to cat food is whether the cats will actually eat it. A lot of brands and ranges seem to pander to the whims and choices of the cats'
owners slaves when in fact what a cat really wants is canned whole mouse or pouched greenfinch....
Well, that's what Madam Pearl tells me.....
