Poor little mite  :'(  I think given a choice, a kitten would want to be all snug inside and not in a run  :shy:  I hope she's found safe and well, and fingers crossed she doesn't end up in the wrong hands   :'(  I'll circulate the info, fingers crossed  :wish:

I really don't think we can judge as we don't know the full circumstances, the pen might well be attached to the house with a catflap so the kitten could come and go as it pleased.  If you look at all the pics they are taken in a warm, comfy house so it's not like the kitten lives outside permanently, she is microchipped so I would guess that she's vaccinated too.  If I'd had a cat run when the boys were little I would have been happy for them to go outside in it at anytime they wanted to as you would presume it was safe.

In any case, I hope she is found and reunited very soon.

Sorry guys I gotta say something or i will burst !!!

This has been on my mind since i first read this post

Firstly, What was a kitten of that age doing in an outside pen at night ?
Secondly, At 4mths old (12wks) she would (might) have only just had he's 2nd vac
Thirdly, she went missing between 6.30 and 10.30 PM - So she wasnt checked between those hours

A few weeks ago when that puppy was stolen from a breeder alot of people had no sympathy for the breeder, Sorry but i feel the same here !

Rant over - just had to say how i feel

Kittens don't have big coats like adult NFCs do.

I gather they actually find it more comfortable to be out in the cold, rather than indoors simply because they are bred for a cold climate ...

Poor little mite outside in a run between those hours.

Don't they keep them out all the time to make their fur grow thick?
DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

my last siamese came from a pet shop, without papers or any connection to the breeder I was able to ascertain. I only bought him because i was horrified at his condition and wanted to get him away from there as soon as possible. He was probably about five weeks old, riddled with fleas and badly dehydrated, so was not prepared to stuff around for the authorities to address the situation ... >:( . Most animals sold as pet quality do not come with papers, at least in Oz, you may do things differently here ...

Poor baby, hope she is found soon.

Sadly they do, my school chum's step dad paid a fortune for a siamese kitten, she was riddled with fleas and worms, never put any weight on and by 6 had no teeth left as they just fell out!
Shortly after she had an x ray and all her organs were shunted up one end of her rib cage, the cause of all her problems  :(
This cat cost them 100's!

I think vets should have to scan any new animal the first time they see it, just imagine how many missing/stolen cats would be picked up on! :wish:

tbh I had just assumed people wouldn't buy without papers - god knows where it will end up then, hopefully it will  see a vet at some stage who checks chips

poor little thing - is it actually worth anything without papers?

One look on free ad sites shows you dont need papers to charge a huge amount of money. Iv seen tabby kittens labelled as bengals for £300    :P to the suckers who bought them  :evillaugh:

That's awful. I'm a little out of the area but OH works in Loughborough so I'll keep an ear to the ground. Sadly it sounds like someone who knows the value (money) of the cat and is probably a professional. You could see if she turns up on http://www.kittenlist.co.uk . I've jst checked there's nothing on there at the moment.
