She's just so gorgeous  :Luv: and obviously knows her place - at the top of the pile with those pesky humans far below her  I love the way the colour sets off her coat so well, she's a lady with style ;D

I'm so glad she doesn't have to slum it on bare carpet!  We can't have that, esp as she's an OAP  ;D

Helen, I'm soooo glad I'm not the only one who goes to these extremes to make my cats happy! Currently, the radiator bed is sat on top of the cat carrier, due to my youngest deciding she hates it on the radiator, but loves it when it's in a corner being used completely the wrong way! That's cats for ya! :)

Just want to reassure those of you that may have been having nightmare flashbacks of Tiggy laying on bare carpet, that she is now safe and well on the furry cushion in her hut...

Nice!  There's nothing wrong with being spoiled - every cat has a right to be spoiled.  If I felt Tiggy wasn't living the life of a pampered puss I'd come and catnap her straight away, or slip her the phone number of cats protection.

You are all right - I'm a bad cat Mum, expecting poor Tiggy to sleep on bare carpet.  I can't believe what I was thinking  :shy:  I will try to find some nice embroidered oriental cushions that go with her skin tone and her new pad, until then she now has a furry cushion which is just about taking the edge of the harshness of the carpet

Ooh, by the way - what's a yashmak?!

  Lovely!

I second the oriental cushions suggestion. How can you even suggest she's pampered if she doesn't have oriental cushions!

I think you should have a couple of oriental cushions in there as well, Helen, to enhance Tiggy's comfort and complete the decorative effect

Bless her ... a proper little princess in her own voile tent

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

I'm having exdactly the same issue with my foster - Poppy - she went and sat in the corner under the christmas tree, but now the corner is taken up with the comp desk - she still squeezes into a tiny gap in the corner and sits facing the wall!

Tiggy had taken to sleeping under the Christmas tree and was gutted when it was cruelly taken from her.  My sister was over last night and asked me why Tiggy was sitting upright in the corner facing the wall! When I explained that she was sulking as her prized tree had been removed she had a brain wave...

I bought some long voile curtains a few weeks ago which needed taking up, my sister was round to help me alter them, anyway she draped the excess length and attached it to the radiator creating a kitty hideaway...

Tiggy was pleased and loved it but I wanted my curtains back so my sister had another brainwave, she has created Tiggy's very own little private hut in the Christmas Tree corner of the living room with the off cuts, as you can see Tiggy loves it and it co-ordinates well with my voiles!

Building work is not complete and I have the builders (well, my sister) coming round next week to create a flat roof and move the entrance to the side so that she has a bit more privacy   I think I may have a bit too much time on my hands!
