They have 6 weeks insurance from the rescue and they are insured from the date that ends. The more I watch them, the more I think it is playing about and the novelty. They have also discovered the bathroom tap and are fascinated when I wash my hands.

The cover starts the moment you sign the pad  ;D

If they are only one there should be no problem but what ever you do get them insured tomorrow and it will then be 14 days before insurance kicks in.

If you seee a vet before this and there is a problem , you will not be able to claim for it for the rest of there lives.

I agree that in central heating they will get thirstier but at their age I dont think they are ill and yes the fountain is probably also a toy to them.

I think I will ring the rescue and see if I can talk to their vet as they just had a full work up a month ago. I think also that the air may be drier than they are used to as the rescue pens were outside with little houses, whereas I have had the heating on this weekend. They seem to have plenty of energy and are always ready to play.

They are about 1.

Thanks

Everytime I turn around one of them is over at the water. They have wet and dry food but seem to be having more dry food than wet at the moment.

If they're eating more dry food than wet its probably why they are drinking a lot - but depending on what sort of age they are, its probably a good idea to at least have a word with the vet.

Me too but I'd make sure they're insured first. I took Cpl. Smokey in when I first got him and the vet said his kidneys were larger than average. Shouldn't be a problem for a few years but it's on his record so if they pack up (god forbid) I may not be covered.

I can't remember  how old these babes are, but would agree with Ela that an MOT would be a good idea.

I think I would be taking the little ones to the vet for a MOT.

I have two new rescue cats that came home on Saturday. They have a Drinkwell water fountain and they love it - but is it normal for them to be drinking all the time? They seem to be weeing a lot too. It may be because the water is a novelty and they may be playing more than drinking.

Everytime I turn around one of them is over at the water. They have wet and dry food but seem to be having more dry food than wet at the moment.

Thanks
