I'd reserve judgement on the National this year as it is likely relocating to Bracknell.
Last year's show wasn't brilliant from a shopping point of view IMHO and it was pants from an exhibitor's POV - I won't be going back I don't think. Having said that, I did manage to fill the luggage compartment on the bus back to Baldock with loads of cheap RC and a freebie 12 kg bag of cat litter.
Most GCCF shows have a reasonable number of stands; you usually get Purrsonal Touch and R&L plus a few other trade, then the charity and club stands. Can't say regarding FIFe shows, but the one TICA show I went to last year was abysmal regarding stalls. I'm off to another TICA show in MK next weekend, so will see if it's any different.
TICA is also ring judging, Gilly. If you bring a folding chair, you can settle down to watch quite nicely and you usually have five or so rings to choose from.
