Alot of people here are all for a mainly wet diet  ;D

Which dry are you giving him? I used to use arden grange all the time but found my lot got bored of that and they normally eat anything!

If your concerned about teeth with a mainly wet diet, fear not as dry food doesnt actually help much. I give my lot raw chicken wings to chew on, they love them and any tartar comes off  ;D

Oliver, while he is not a fussy eater at all, did go off on certain selections (which he had been eating previously) without any real explanation, too.  It didn't present a huge problem as he eats plenty of other food, except that the stuff he went off, we just had bought in bulk a few days previously, go figure.
He has been so far fed also half wet half dry diet, however he has been putting on a wee too much weight recently and probably we will switch on to mostly wet diet, too.  I have read some informations around the net and I agree with Susanne, given the choice probably the wet food is more preferable for your cats.

Have you tried feeding him wet food in the morning to see if he's just gone off the dry food?

Opinions vary on wet v dry food, but I personally think that all wet or predominantly wet food is the best thing for a cat, as these links explain

Change in eating habits

Since we got Alfie, about 2 months ago, we have been feeding him dry food in the morning and wet food in the evening, and he always finished both lots. However, over the last week he barly touches his food in the morning, although still eats all of his evening food. He is 7 months old and seems perfectly healthy. We have not changed the type of food we are giving him in the morning. Does this sound like our little man is just getting fussy or does anybody have any other suggestions about his change in routine? What is the general feeling about only feeding a cat wet food?

Thanks
