yeah tis a shame des, but think its best i dont.  hopefully will get a cat to foster soon - and time will tell if i can let them go!!!   but there will be many many photos taken  ;D

Hannah, hope you're stronger than Mark and I.  Sounds like we are just complete push overs - I've been called worse!!  :evillaugh:

When I was younger I always wanted to work with animals in some way but I would be in tears every day - I know a lot of good is done but I would never be able to switch off and get on with it.  I really do take my hat off to anyone who works with animals.  Good luck chuck.

well.
i have a little rethink and for various reasons, have decided not to go do the volunteering. 

i however big time hope to be ding fostering - but thats kinda out of my hands for now!!  really hope i wont have to wait long  :)


in the mean time......  guess who i'm cat sitting the next couple of days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   yaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!  ( * and co   :Luv: )

Good luck with the fostering - I was a complete failure - I got Bonnie on Thursday Tea time and Sunday morning I couldn't allow her to be seen by someone who wanted to see her as I couldn't bare her to go.  Yep, I adopted her and she's all mine.  :rofl: :)

Hey Hannah - well done you! What a star :wish: you are! I'm sure all the kitties will fall in love with you - you'll just have to be careful you don't fall head-over-heels for them too :evillaugh: I'm sure CP will be delighted that you are able to help out - and you're so brave ringing round and sorting everything out, you should be so proud of yourself! :hug:
Any kitties that you foster will be lucky furbabes indeed ;) and it's great that your flatmate is so enthusiastic, too.
Don't worry about struggling with the accent - I'm from Nairn (fairly mild highland accent), and on moving to Aberdeen found "doric" dialect nigh-on indecipherable! :evillaugh: Thankfully, I was a little familiar with it because my grandad spoke a bit of it, but the broader accents plus the dialect just sounds like a foreign language! I can now understand it passably well, but couldn't speak it to save myself! ;)

well apparently if i want to carry on, i'll get keys - which kinda suggests i might be alone.  thinking about it, it really did sound like i'd be alone. there arent that many people to help out, so think they do one morning or evening each.   dont know, will have to check it all out.  she said something about going down this track thing and leaving the car at a garage thing and walking down and she definately said there were no street lights etc....   dont want to be silly and wimpy but also.... dont want to get scared!!!  not that i'd be sure how to say i dont want to help out if i dont want to...  oh dear!!!!!  ok, calm, will go along on friday and check it out and think from there  :)

I was reading the 44 Scotland Street books and the people that went from Edinburgh to Glasgow couldn't understand the accent  :evillaugh:

My old flatmate was from Campbelltown and had a lovely accent but not sure if his was the local one (he was a bit "affected"  :evillaugh: )

the tug of war well - i cant promise it wont happen!!!  but hopefully it's a pretty good compromise for me getting kitty cuddles and helping out!!!

my flat mate is VERY excited!  she wants one NOW apparently!   :evillaugh:

eek, do hope it all comes together  :)

going to the pens - think if i like it i'll be more of a reserve anyway, plus in a few weeks my timetable all changes so it could be tricky to commit.  we shall see  :)

but also - i havent seen it yet -  but.... it sounds a wee bit scary to be there on my own :scared:  not sure, will have to see how comfortable i think i would be there.  dont mind helping out - but dont want to scare myself either  :-:

Oh my goodness Hannah, that's brilliant!! :wow: :wow: :wow:  But I rethought... can you really handle being a foster mummy??  I wouldn't want you to start a tug of war with the new adoptive parent using the poor kitty!! :shify:

And you will be surprised what dinky little country lane Tomtom can pick up!!  It came very useful also for us in the middle of nowhere in a country side! ;)  But yeah, if you can talk Lottie into tour guiding you that will be much better, and after the trip there will be another excuse for you to meet up with Star... ;) ;)

well, a lot happened since i wrote the last thing - i now appear to be on the foster list for central aberdeen cp - maybe even next week i could be fostering!!!

dunno - was a bit of a strange conversation, but....  woooooooooohhhhhhooooooooooooooooooooooooo

tomtom is the way forward i think licia - except it seems like this place is in the middle of a fild or something (ok, on a farm) down a beaten track so....   :Crazy:

but lottie has been there before so think will have to ask her  :sneaky:  thank goodness!!!

oh the accents licia - some i'm totally fine with, but i get flustered on the phone anyway which doesnt help and.... well no offence to anyone but some scottish accents can be quite hard and scary (others are totally lovely!)

hehe - i'm so happy right now!!!!!!! ;D

Wow, so within UK peeps have that sort of problems too?? :wow:  I had some trouble conversing with my mates from Glasgow and another from Belfast, and one time when I was in Yorkshire some of the people didn't sound at all to me like spreaking in English... :Crazy:  I was rather complexed about that but now I feel better now... :shy:
Anyway, if you have the addy of the place, Tom Tom is the way to go if it is updated!! ;)
