Molly isn't keen on other cats - she will allow Zi on the bed, but not Rolo (in fact Rolo normally gets growled at just for coming into the room, never mind how near to her).

They certainly can, and I think it is money well spent.

I think our Thomas (black with 6 white hairs on chest) and your Molly should get together. He also had fab blood results last summer (18 at Christmas) and recent check up OK and rarely leaves bedroom unless to come downstairs each night to eat my chicken dinner.  He also still has a bit of life in him judging by his manic run around the house last night. What does Molly think?  ;)

Blood results can sometimes be so reassuring. Really pleased for you and Molly of course.

Well, the vet rang with her results today, and everything is absolutely perfect!! i am so pleased that she is in perfect health, and just a slight amount of plaque - very impressive I think for a 15yo, especially when I took her on thinking she didn't have long left to live.

Yeah, should get the results tomorrow. As I Said on the other thread, she was playing so well earlier she fell off the bed!! Zia has tried to get close to her today, which hasn't gone down the best, but didnt stop Zi trying again!! I briefly had all 3 on the bed earlier (till Zi got scared of my hair and shot out of bed).

She certainly is spoiled!! She has her own towel on the bed, and her own bed on the windowsill, so she doesn't actually have to leave my room, she has bed, food, water and toilet!! She has had a play session this morning that she enjoyed, and is currently sleeping.
Thanks Clare, and bless that Max. Molly's other favourite is to sit and look at me to encourage me up!! She does still hate Rolo with a passion though, it must be his smell, as she couldn't see him last night when she started growling at him, but she lets Zia on hte bed!!

Aw, well done Molly  ;D   I didn't realise she was 15, she's a credit to you Desley!

Cats do make me chuckle, Max will be pesking me for his breakfast, but when I'm finishing getting dressed and sit on the edge of the bed to put my socks and boots on, he will sit on my legs to stop me getting ready  :evillaugh:  Its an every morning ritual now, not that I'm complaining of course  :shy:

Molly is spoilt enough to always eat on my bed - I have trained her off the bed a few times, but then get fosters in who might pinch it, so it goes back on the bed!! My sis did feed her on the windowsill the other day and she did happily eat, but I think it is too cold (although she happily sleeps there)

Since he came out of hospital Dragan demands his supper on the armchair.  He will eat all his other meals as normal but at supper time it has to be on the chair.  She sounds really cute tucked in the duvet

She certainly is - her other really funny thing to do is when it is getting up time, she will come and lie either on top of me or next to me under the duvet - how she expects to be fed when she wont get up is beyond me!! And she sometimes whinges when I try, and it is only to feed her, so at weekends we get longer in bed cos she wont get up!!
Aww, thanks Pav

Yeah and especially when i took her on cos we didn't think she had long left and I wanted her to have a home environment. Just over 2 years later, I am hoping these will show that she is in perfect health - she has been drinking more recently, but hopefully that is just with eating more dry and treats.

Molly's Annual MOT
« Reply #1 on: January 17, 2008, 20:37:17 PM »
Molly had her annual trip to the vet tonight (well, she goes twice a year, but this is the worst!!), and had her bloods taken, and her booster - vet doesn't think we need to worry about thyroid, her heart is the high end of normal (but she was stressed) and she has put weight on since last time, although just has a hard belly, no fat. She was very well behaved, the best ever actually. She has a tiny amount of plaque on a couple of teeth, but vet says she wouldn't worry about them just yet - quite impressive for one of mine, none of hte others have got to her age without needing a dental!! Actually, none of hte others have got to her age. No reason for her scratchign her ears so much though, although they were slightly red - cleaning them is out of hte question, I couldnt even wipe the sawdust off her head earlier, and touching her isn't an option unless she either wants me too, or I ignore the hissing and spitting and win her round, and even then it is head only, I wouldnt be able to do much with her. Vet says she looks very good for her age, and we should have the results on Mon. I did forget to ask for a prescription for wormers though.
