Aww, glad to hear she is doing so well - it tickles me when they say they may be drowsy and unwilling to eat - yeah right!!

Glad she's home and eating.  When Dragan had to be hospitalised last year he wouldn't eat anything until I went to visit, then he gobbled his dinner.  When I left he wouldn't eat again so they had to send him home on trial to get him to eat.

Well Miss Gracie is looking well groomed and a lot thinner!  The vet says she will be drowsey for the rest of the night and may not want to eat anything as she had just looked at the food they gave her whilst at the vets

Get box home and let her out, Linford Christie would have been proud of her standing start and she went upstairs and jumped up to the top of the wardrobe in our bedroom, she had now had 2 saucers of warmed chicken and seems quite perkey for her age and op!

Must advise vet tomorrow just how drowsey she was nad what they tried to feed her as she is now downstairs in the family room tucking in with gusto

Note to vet please ask cat before dispensing advice!!!!!!!!!

Vet has just been on the phone and Miss Gracie has another fan - she allowed them to take her bloods with no fuss apart from a dribble and a purr, has had a couple of teeth taken out, a lump removed and they could have knitted another cat with the grooming session!

Vet has given her a long term antibiotic injection and pain killer and she is looking for food, having been starved by parents overnight and loosing so much weight in the process!

I am picking her up at 4pm so at least Ace and the feral bunch will be happier currently he is looking quite nasty and wants his Mum back and its not me!!!! :Luv:

Miss Gracie is having her dental tomorrow - Mummy dropping her off and she will have the senior blood test and hopefully come home all pretty to as the vet nurse has said she will comb her out as she looks lovely on one side only as she won't let us brush the rest!

So my old dribble chops of a feral long haired tortie good luck from Mummy, Daddy and the mob and its nice chicken for you coming out tomorrow! :Luv:

Me thinks there is a conspiracy going on vet just called and cancelled Miss G's dental as there machine has died

She has been pacing all week like she knew and somehow she has broken the machine!  Never fear she will hopefully be going in later next wek once th new machine is delivered

Will keep you all posted!

Our only worry is the over night in the kitten pen so she is on a water only diet.

we also have the worry of Ace - her son as he is so devoted to her and spends all day looking after his Mum - it is so sweet but as he has nasty tendancies should prove an interesting and sleepless night for all concerned!

After visiting the vet with 6 of the Clan Cats on Saturday at 9am - scares the vet when the boxes just keep coming!

Cougar, Puma, Diva (apart from her little weight problem another feral with eating issues) Amber and Minmin all got a clean bill of health and their respective boosters and programme shots it was Miss gracies turn for the nice young man to have a look!

Putting on her tortie sneer and then letting him give her the programme and boosters he looked in our old dribble chops mouth and wha teeth she has left will be vacating the mouth on Friday, 15 years of being outside and just being old means this old lady will be having her dental on Friday of this week.

On Daddy's instructions she will be having the full works as her age befits and also getting a nice grooming whilst under as well and then coming home to some nice soft food

We are hoping she will be okay during all this but at 17 the vet did advise she has the heart of a 5y.o we are still a little worried for our Grand old lady.  We tried to get her in on the same day Tiger is having his diabetes tests all day but no room so she is going to be very brave and go on her own.  Vets did advise we could pick her up as soon as possible to lessen her stress - and ours so will keep you posted on how she goes. :Luv:
