The message said that her neighbour has gone away on holiday and their cat keeps trying to get in her house.
I rang back and asked if the neighbour had gone away and just left the cat to it's own devices?
She said "No, somebody is supposed to be feeding it but they aren't keeping it inside and it keeps trying to get in my house. I asked if it was starving or injured. She said no as it is being fed by another neighbour
- She went on to say the neighbour that has gone away has relatives 3 doors away. I suggested she speak to them about it. She said "I can't, it's none of my business - it's just that the cat is driving me mad. It got in my house and ate my cat's food once and when I open the door, it tries to come in. I said, I'm sorry but we can't order the cat to stop bothering you
- She said "I look after my own cat and they should too" - I said I quite agree but we don't have any powers like the RSPCA - I gave her their main helpline number as I had no idea what else to do
