He's doing grand tonight Gwen, thanks very much for asking

Him and Baggins have been chasing each other around and wrestling, and he's got his appetite back and a bit more to make up for what he missed out on yesterday  :evillaugh:

Still taking him back tomorrow though, just to be sure.

my old boy was like that yesterday, was going to see what he was like today and he seems fine - well he's eaten and demanded to go out whereas yesterday he slept on our bed all day and couldn't be bothered to eat anything. I though  it might be another fight though wasn't going to panic after the £280 vets now bill.
Didn't stop me not sleeping much last night - especially as he felt lively and wanted to be fussed most of the night - or so it seemed!!

 Thanks very much everyone.

He's made a miraculous recovery! He's eaten his breakfast and is looking at me as if to say "dad, seeing as I'm ok now, hows about letting me out for an hour?"  :tired:

Bilbo at the vets again ...
« Reply #1 on: January 02, 2008, 10:28:05 AM »
Poor Bilbo was right off colour yesterday, seemed to just sleep, wouldn't eat, wouldn't purr and by 9pm last night hadn't gone to the toilet. I checked him over to see if any bits were sore or hurting but there was nothing, though I was a bit worried by the not going to the toilet bit so I gave the emergency vet a ring. He said that if Billy wasn't showing any pain or discomfort he wouldn't need to see him until first thing this morning, so I stayed up with him all night to keep an eye on how he was (Bilbo I mean, not the vet). By 4am he'd got his purr back, and at 6am he went to the toilet. He still wasn't right though so I packed him in his box and took him to the surgery. The vet checked him over and he has a slight infection on his chest and as a result is running a fever  :(

One injection later he's home, but we have to take him back tomorrow to ensure his fever has gone.

Bilbo's rap sheet at the vets is huge  :evillaugh:  :shy:
