Oh dear! Meesha rushes at everything, and sometimes gets it wrong. She was fine when she came in for her tea, but a short while later I found her on the landing lying down (nothing unusual) but when she went to get up to greet me she let out a loud cry ... she was really hurting, and had a bad limp. Bless her, little darling, she realised I was helping her when I gently encouraged her into the carrier to go to the vets.
This is the fourth time (to my knowledge) this has happened, and the second time I have had to take her to the vets ... just to make sure, and for a pain killer shot. She keeps damaging her cruciate ligament - are there any other puds out there who seem susceptible to this kind of injury? She always recovers much faster than I expect ... no doubt she'll be jumping about tomorrow as if nothing had happened! (although she will stay in tomorrow). She's already a lot better, although some of that will be the pain killer.
I think she's a brilliant little cat though - when we got home she gently head-rubbed me as if to say 'thank you', and when I hurt her earlier by touching her sore spot she hissed, and struck out with her paw, but her claws were all completely sheathed! What a sweetheart
