How did I miss this?  I am sorry to hear that you have been worried about little Grwndi, Gwen.  If he has a slightly high white blood cell count it is probably a minor infection or his allergy, as your vet is confident that all else is well.

Big  to him.

Take care yourself, too

 understand why you'd be feeling worried Gwen, but I think the Vet would've said if they felt it was a potential problem.  Try not to worry overmuch, and just keep an eye on his nibs  ;)

Glad everythign is fine - if the vet has said the white blood cells could be due to his allergy, and not worried, then it prob isn't anythign to worry abuot.

Well we got the test results today and everything is fine, liver, kidney,no fiv,no diabetes etc etc but apparently his white cells are a tad high but apparently that could be down to his skin allergy.should I be concerned about the higher blood cells?  I must say its freaked me out a bit :scared:

Sorry I have been busy this weekend so couldn't update you any sooner.

He was good yesterday but this morning when I got up there was some bile on the landing, didnt see him being sick so it could of been Ging but I doubt it,so I asked the vets to send the bloods away today just to be sure.

He's fine in himself and is sitting on my nans knee at the moment watching tv :evillaugh:

Thank you all for your concen

Am glad everything went well at the visit, Gwen.  Didn't know that - the link between skin allergies and dodgy tums.  Poor little cherub!  Sending a gentle ear rub for the little feller.

Sorry for the late update, been busy :-[

Took him this morning and the vets took his temp, checked eyes, gums etc and she said all was normal.

Shes taken bloods and if he's sick tomorrow then to call on Saturday and they'll send them away.

I have to starve him for 24 hours and give him some Antiepsin (like a liquid) down his throat 3 times a day to coat his stomach, shes also given me some recovery royal canin pouches (enough for 2 days) and if he's still sick after them then they will investigate further.

At the moment he is locked in our bedroom with water and his tray, poor cat,I have fed Ging in the kitchen today so he didn't get the smell of the pouches or hear the dry being put down so much.

Poor boy,he was so good at the vets too :Luv:

He does have a skin allergy and apparently its common for cats with skin allergies to develop sensitive stomachs too,we'll take it day by day and hopefully he'll be ok now :Luv:

Thank you all for your conern and your thaughts

He's been sick one and off now for 3 weeks, never, ever been sick before, not even a hairball.  It might be nothing but today he brought up all his pouches up but so far his dried food has stayed down, but still taking him incase theres an undergoing problem lurking underneath.
