advocate is a popular option with vets round here these days and as its a wormer and flea treatment at the same time it saves you buying a tablet and the spray / spot on.

My receptionist told me you would still need to do the spot on with the injection as the injection only sterilises them, so I decided it wasn't worth it money wise.
Please spay your cat

some might dismiss it mark as it doesnt kill or cause any harm to the flea itself but makes them infertile so you cant get the breeding and infestation, normally if  cat goes out and picks up a flea it would be just that .. A flea which them multiply very quickly but 1 flea itself wont live that long or cause any harm and you would worm regularily anyway.

You can get it in tablet form too, it just means you have to give 1 tab every month.

It can be but in the last 6 months either they are letting us catch them or we are getting quicker!

to go on Saturday for 9am = 3 nice, one grumpy tortie, one stalkie tortie and one rather large but a snall cat - 3 feral, 2 hand reareds - who hate the vet and are all legs and claws - I do them Robins says its cause I hand reared them and a raggie who usually is quite sweet but vague!

Mark it is good and we are a flea free multi household - have to try and corner Mr Really nasty Ace to Profender him - still not been to the vets as he is a total basket case with bengal tiger claws!

I will have a word. I have to take Alice (CP cat) to the vet this afternoon so will ask the vet about program. I asked him once before about it but was dismissed  :-:

We had that problem with the dogs frontline - 2 of the cats ended up with bald patches after sleeping with the dogs!

Have you thought about the Programme injection twice yearly and about £25.00 - all our have it but have to order it in at our vet as they don't seem to use it much but its great for the ferals as we only have to get them twice a year to see nasty man with needles rather than monthly cornering - they have nearly forgiven us by the next 6 month date!

Its also easier for the oldies or ones with health issues as they get a free health check twice yearly!

I use stronghold, but i can never get the whole tube on them becos its strong and i think it burns them once reached the skin, but my vet said even half tube is enough since they dont go out that much. But i can ask my vet today if there is some thing similar which does the same as strong hold? I have to pickup boy this afternoon ,i check with him.

I posted a while back that Clapton's neck was pink where I applied the stronghold. -It's easy to see on him as he is white in that area. I treated him last week ans his neck is red & scabby in that small area. He doesn't seem bothered by it but I guess I should change to something else? - Is there another spot-on that does the same things as stronghold? - I know frontline doesn't but hope there is something else.

Anyone else had this problem?
