Hi Purrs,
It's been a crazy month or so since our last post and unfortunately we've not found the time to keep everyone as updated as we'd like to. As well as the priority of caring for the cats (a total of 30 in the pens right now), since the beginning of October we've managed to find loving homes for 35 cats and have rescued 15 more off the streets. We've also taken in 17 cats whose owners weren't able to care for them anymore and who unfortunately hadn't been able to find help anywhere else in Brighton. On top of all this we've managed to reunite at least 10 lost cats with their owners either through the website or by scanning found cats for chips and reuniting them instantly.
It's been very busy here and Ron (the Legend) is constantly running to the vets and back (£1200 in October) and off scanning cats that have been found. As LostCatsBrighton at the moment only consists of 2 people (Ron & David, who works 3 and half days a week as bills need to be paid) and a few occasional helpers I'm sure everyone will forgive us for not having the time to keep Purrs updated as often as we probably should.
As always we have some cats in the pen that we are urgently looking to home and if anyone on Purrs is in the Brighton area we'd really appreciate a call. Below are our longest residents and if anyone feels that they could offer any of them a home please see our website for details.
Thanks Guys.
David
