Sorry, I should have updated this.  My work colleague got 2 tortie girls about a week ago!  ;D  Guess grey or tabby wasn't that important in the end!

I love Greys too and would never choose a calico but looks like I have no say in the matter   :evillaugh:

Blue's are quite elusive.  We don't get many ... although having said that a lot of the wild or feral kittens we've had come in this year have been grey tabbies and blues!  mmmm 

Domestic kittens your usual mix of black, black and white!   If they are too specific about what they want they may find they have a longer wait!

We recently had a stray grey female, aged around 4 months. A dead ringer for a British Blue. Somehow the poor mite had lost it's tail. Not sure if she's still available...  :-:

We just had the 2 that I fostered, I can't think of any others, although we have had some stunning tabbies in. We currently have tabbies, black and black and white

The last load of kittens I posted on here and CatChat included two grey/blue tabbies (one was spotted and one was a real tabby), one little blue kitten, one blue and white (I've given up saying blue/grey, we all know what they really are  ;) ) and one bluecream tortie and white.

Needless to say they were all snapped up. Diane from the shelter even rang me to insist I took them down from the website immediately because they were getting too many calls for them. I said to her that surely all calls were good and she said people just want grey kittens!

It must be a region thing. As many know we deal with over 1000 cats a year  included in that are many kittens born in care and those we are asked to bring in. I just cannot recall the last time one of the kittens was grey. This year has been the year of black and black and black and the odd black and white.

I found the greys to be more common this year, in this area anyway, I know maybe this lady is sorted now but I have 2 greys and a grey/white in at the moment.

I think she knows she's probably not going to find a grey kitten.

Just to clarify - the mention of tabby above wasn't a reference to a grey tabby.  She'd like either a grey cat or a tabby cat (I presume she means classic tabby).

She is not alone, whenever anyone stated a preference I think about 90% of folks say ideally I would like a grey kitten.

In their dreams I say, in 18 years although I have had a few grey cats but as far as I can remember only 2 grey kittens born here and one of those was  sadly born dead.

2 female kittens wanted in the north west

I'm asking on behalf of a work colleague (so please don't slate me for being so specific!  ;D).  She and her husband are looking for 2 female kittens.  She'd like grey (blue  ;)) or grey/white or tabby.  She knows grey moggies aren't that common so she may not be able to find one but that is what she would like.  I've directed her to catchat list of rescues and I think she has rung up one or 2, but she is now looking in local papers etc.  Someone was selling british blues for £200 but I've told her that's probably a byb and to steer clear (she wants a moggy anyway) and has now found some 6 week old kittens on Loot.  I've also told her 6 weeks is too young!

She will be a good cat meowmy I think, just specific about what she wants!  I think the cats are going to be indoor cats, initially at least, and she has talked about cat proofing the garden.  She lives in a good size house on a new build estate.

Just thought that if anyone in the NW does have some female kittens that might suit I could pass on the details as I'd rather she got them from a rescue than from a free ad.
