Ging doesn't really mix with other cats,he used to get on with a black cat that was around but he/she vanished a few years ago and he hasn't had a pal since :(

We have mad cat people up the road who have 14 cats and Grwndi often goes up there and gets munchies off the owners,I can just imagine him giving them the "please feed me,meowmy doesn't" look :evillaugh:  and he gets on with my neighbours cat Turbo, infact we have seen them two sitting together in the garden, bench and its the cutest thing :Luv:

My neighbour has two dogs of her own and he seems ok with them, exept for him thinking their tails are scratching posts :evillaugh:

How exciting  :wow:  How do Ging and Grwindi get on with other neighbourhood cats?  If they are indifferent to them then I think there's a good chance they'll get along just fine once they're given time to get to know each other.

What about Ramses, has he been around dogs before?  Also, excuse my ignorance but does Ramses mean something in Welsh?

How exciting!  ;D  I hope it works out.

Re introductions - I think it's best to go slowly as it's easier to do that than have to backtrack because you went too quickly.  Once they come face to face though I think it's a good idea to play it by ear.  Sometimes it's better to let them get on with it than keep separating them, provided they are not hurting each other.

Wizz's guide is a good start.

Awww, he's lovely! Good luck with the intros, I hope it goes well. When I intro'd Skye to Riley, I have to say I kind of went in at the deep end - I live in a one-bedroom flat, so there isn't any "neutral" territory here. We let her out in the front room, with all other doors closed (except the kitchen), and just gave them both plenty of space. We ensured that over the next couple of days, they got equal fussing, playtime and treats. If anything, we upped the ante so that Riley was getting more attention and treats than he would normally, even though she got exactly the same. This seemed to work well, and they have settled together brilliantly. Riley still plays a bit rough at times, but I think it;s more to do with him not knowing his own strength - he's over twice her size, and 18 months old. She is only 5 months and is quite a petite little girl, but is perfectly able to stand up for herself.
One thing I did learn from this forum is to try not to interfere - if they are chasing each other around, or playing rough (even if it's a bit noisy and some fur flies) trey not to get involved unless you really feel the little one can't cope. There's certain things they need to work out themselves, and humans really suck at kitty politics!
Anyway, I'm sure you know all this already!
Good luck, and let us know how you get on!

Yup he's the kitten my neighbour has had and its not working out as her cat still won't cone down from upstairs and its almost 2 months now :(  SO we can't say she hasn't given him a chance and she won't take it no more than turbo won't come downstairs so fair enough I say.

I am not saying mine will take to him but heres hoping.

heres a pic of him but he's grown a lot since this pic ;D
